We had the pleasure to spend two nights at the Barahi jungle lodge on the banks of East Rapti River in Nepal. Already at Bharatpur airport we were welcomed by the lodge‘s pick-up service in person of most amiable Rajesh, who should turn out to be our naturalist guide for the whole stay. The Head-manager himself gave us a warm welcome and introduction into the lodge. We were impressed by the careful sustainability efforts in combination with a five star accomodation with all modern facilities close to the jungle. The staff was most caring, polite and attentive in all functions. The highlights of course were the Jeep Safari, Jungle walk and boat safari in the early morning in the park. Across the shallow Rapti river pick-up point is reached with a boat directly from the lodge. Safar jeeps wating for half or full-day trips. Driver and our guide Rajesh did a terrific job in showing vegetation and all wildlife Chitwan had to offer on that day including a stylish jungle tea/coffee with pastry. Deer, boars, bears, rhinos, monkeys, elefants are just the bigger animals, not speaking of peacocks and many other exotic birds. Safety was always key and we felt always secure and in best hands, either on the car or by foot during jungle walk. Both activities give a very good impression of the park‘s environment. Arriving from the trip with dust and sweat Barahi staff was waiting with refreshment towels and fresh water. A boat trip in the early morning on the calm Rapti river gave wonderful sight on birdlife and bigger animals crossing or bathing in the river. Dinner followed after a presentation of regional cultural dance with excellent cuisine listening to the sounds of the jungle by the pool. Coffee, tea, water was complementary all time with high-speed WiFi. Our bungalow met all expectations with enormous comfort. Wow, this was Nepali hospitality at its best.

El Chitwan Village Resort, rodeado de zonas verdes y situado a través del río Rapti, se encuentra a solo 300 metros de la zona de safari en la selva del parque nacional de Chitwan. The staff was amazing! Very friendly and helpful. They helped us enjoy ourselves at the resort and to book socially responsible tours, where elephant safari etc. were directly advised against. The hotel area is super cozy, and its beautiful garden and stylish buildings helps to create a proper safari vibe, though the hotel is merely a hotel/bnb and not a resort. Would definitely recommend visiting this place!

El Sapana Village Lodge está rodeado de vegetación y se encuentra a 1 minuto en coche del centro de la ciudad de Sauraha. Ofrece servicio de traslado gratuito de ida y vuelta al lodge. Beautifull atmosphere, really amazing people that works there and also the village organizes really good activities in the wild and with elephants.

Regenta Resort & Spa By Riverside, Chitwan se encuentra en Chitwan, a 26 km de Tharu Cultural Museum, y ofrece alojamiento con centro de fitness, parking privado gratis, jardín y restaurante. Nuestro hotel favorito durante nuestra estancia en Nepal. Apartado de las actividades turísticas pero ello se solucionaba ya que nos venían a buscar para realizar las mismas. Vale la pena por poder disfrutar las vistas y servicios del hotel. Recomendamos enormemente escoger una habitación con piscina, de ensueño. Más parecido a un apartamento que a una habitación. El menú es muy extenso y cocinan bien, aunque si no te gusta el picante, pídelo sin. Nosotros comimos en varias ocasiones en la habitación, que tenía vistas al río y a la jungla. Respecto al spa, los masajes que probamos, relajaban muchísimo. En el baño había ducha y jacuzzi. Probamos por primera vez el plato más mítico de Nepal, el Thali nepalí, nos gustó.

A Perfect Nature Retreat! I had an amazing stay at River Bank Jungle Resort. Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, it’s the perfect place to unwind. The staff were friendly and attentive, always going the extra mile. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a highlight of my visit. The rooms were clean, and cozy, and offered a peaceful connection to nature. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for great hospitality, delicious food, and a serene escape! 10/10!
