Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GreeceAn experience that you will remember forever, sleeping with the sounds of the jungle and waking up looking at all the lush nature around you. Very relaxing days. Joaquin and Matheus were so nice and the best part was the breakfast! Best one I had in my life, it’s all healthy, vegan and plant based but so tasty and I want to learn to make all the recipes. Different recipes to try every day!

AustraliaLiterally the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff are all absolute legends with heaps of knowledge and stories to share, the breakfast is actually insane, the scenery is beautiful, serenity at all times of day, yoga, jam sessions and the list just goes on and on. Just staying here is an experience in itself, would recommend ((((:

ArgentinaThe only thing I didn't like was that you can't cook in the kitchen. There's fridges for you to store food and drinks and you can prepare sandwiches and such, but you can't use the stove or the oven.
Everything was perfect, the hostel is located in the middle of the nature, but without losing any of the commodities you'd have in a city. There's hot water, everything's clean, the vibe is amazing and the bamboo constructions are beautiful! On Tuesday they host a Jam (live music) which I really recommend. The breakfast is amazing, everything's vegan and super nutritious and nourishing. The hostel is absolutely beautiful, completely surrounded by nature.

Amazing and unique stay in the middle of the jungle! This is probably the best hostel I’ve ever been to. completely eco friendly, vegan breakfast, surrounded by nature and with amazing and welcoming staff. Though walk up to the hostel may seem long at first (10 minutes from the main square), it is always worth it. So nice to see the a different face of Morro. The bed and accommodation areas are spacious and toilets were separated to avoid noise from others. Would definitely return soon.

SpainThis place is quite unique. If you are interested in staying in a place surrounded by nature with still good standards this is a great option. The breakfast from this hostel is probably the breakfast with the best quality I have ever had and made with excellent ingredients. This is a great choice also for vegans and veggies. Surprisingly, there was no issue with mosquitoes at all. Great staff also, very helpful and supportive.

Switzerlandthe only downside is the rather long way from the city center to the hostel, but I personally think its part of the experience and you get used to the route :)
This hostel is amazing! It was such a cool experience to sleep in a „tree house“ surrounded by nature. The staff was very accommodating and friendly and the breakfast was delicious (all vegan). I can only recommend!

Great atmosphere and amazing nature! Simple yet very comfortable. The breakfast is the best I’ve eaten in Brazil! Homemade, gluten-free, vegan…just delicious! I will miss it so much! The free yoga was great! The staff are very friendly and very relaxed. The place is impressively built and super clean. The Wifi is also the best I had in Brazil!

United KingdomThe location is a little inconvenient if you want to go back to the hostel during the day or anything. At the time I was there it was very quiet with only 3 other guests staying there so I would recommend staying in peak season instead.
The hostel itself was lovely and the breakfast was great. I also did the yoga class which I really enjoyed.

United StatesWhen they say it's a walk, they're not kidding. If you want to stay in the main square late at night or roam first and second beach I wouldn't recommend this hostel. I moved to a closer hostel at the end since I had limited days in Morro.
The hostel is beautiful and sustainable which I know is the concept. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay (still paid) so I can't fully write a review.
