Stunning location in countryside but a short walk over the border into Germany with shops snd bars. The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming both towards us and our dogs. Parking is free and the King Room with balcony was wonderful with a glorious view of the lake. This is our fourth visit and it never disappoints. The restaurant is excellent, parking is free and I loved how the German and French languages mingled around. A super experience. Thank you once again.

I can't think of anything that I didn't like. But for starters, our room didn't have a reading light on the desk. But that was all and Im sure that would be easy to be resolved.

We keep coming back to this place. We love the breakfast. We liked it that you can order omelet for breakfast in addition to breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet were cold cuts, yoghurt, fruits, salads, mueslis, bread, etc. The bed was really comfortable to sleep in. I like that the room was very spacious and that you had a balcony to view nature. We always love this place as a stop-over to relax after the long drive from Germany.

An ideal location for our onward journey, excellent room and restaurant, we have stayed at this hotel several times and have never had an issue, always friendly, helpful and courteous staff, the rooms have always been spotless and clean, the food is varied and excellent.

Everything! Such a surprise to have a lovely hotel. Our room balcony looked over the river, beautiful view. Then only a short walk to Briesach town for shops and the cathedral. Room was large, with a sofa area, spotlessly clean and in very good repair - everything worked as it should. Balcony had an insect screen, aircon kept it cool if doors shut. The rest of the hotel restaurant and terrace looked lovely too, but we didn’t have time to try on our short visit.

Room for improvement: The stairways are smelly (fish) and the staff didn‘t offer to call a taxi, but made a recommendatio .

That we only stayed one night. I wish we tried to stay a little longer. I was a bit confuse about the self-checkin and how it works. We didn't need to because we arrived before the desk closed.

The room was wonderful. We really loved that there was a balcony, and it was a large room for us because our dog travelled with us. We paid extra for breakfast, it was affordable and superb. We really liked the location because it was halfway our journey to the Mediterranean coast. Furthermore, it was near nature which makes it a tranquil location, our dog specifically loved that. The staff was super accommodating and friendly. Overall, the hotel was down to earth, family owned, with a human touch.

Beautiful and calm setting with sophisticated ski chalet type feel to the rooms that all overlook a lake nature reserve, walking distance to Breisach Am Rhein.

There was a language problem, since it was a local accommodation, very few people spoke English and those who did were not very good. Breakfast was not great for us but it would be good for locals and other nationalities. The restaurant was nice but nothing suitable for children and there was no English menu. At least they could prepare one or two English menus for those who do not speak French.

We had to enter France first because of the visa situation of the other family we were traveling with. We chose this place because of its proximity to Europa Park, Freiburg, Colmar, Mulhouse and the airport. It is very close to the border. It is easy to get anywhere by car. The view from the balcony was very nice. Room size was perfect.

The employees do not know English at all, I think a hotel of this capacity and location should have employees who know English, and there is also a very serious food smell in some parts of the hotel. Finally, when you want to leave the hotel at night, only 1 door opens and there is no receptionist, there is a photocell lamp when you exit the opened door but it does not work and walking in the dark in the forest can be scary. But these are all very minor things, if I go to that area again, I would stay at that hotel again.

Foods are really tasty, especially dinner is good, they have free otopark and electric station.

Beautiful place Lovely rooms overlooking lake with lots of wildlife. We cycled there and the area around the hotel has lots of opportunities to cycle along various Rhine routes on both sides of the French/German border.

The only negative thing we experienced is that people are smoking in the balconies. We slept with the window open, - which is necessary because there is no internal ventilation, you smell the smoke inside the room.

Beautiful location, the room was clean and the beds comfortable. Breakfast was fine with good coffee and bread ,homemade confiture, cheese and fresh fruits. Children are for free. The room has a balcony with a stunning view over the lake!
