Water pressure wasn't the best, but no fault of the owners. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and we had to pull out the fridge to plug it in ourselves which was a bit awkward. However it was a budget booking so we weren't shocked.

The family that runs it are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, no fault there. The overall accommodation and communal areas were clean and had fun decor. Lovely to have breathtaking views from the balcony. With plenty of storage.

The location is ideal, the reception and staff Is exceptionnal. Though the room may need a little renewal of furniture, assets are getting old and the cleningless could be better. But the place looks so welcoming simple and authentic, everyone was so nice you really feel at home.

The water pressure was low. But we managed to take warm showers without too much difficulty.

Very nice and simple hotel room less than 5 minutes walk from the beautiful Matala beach. Room equipped, with double bed, small refrigerator, kettle, and some kitchen items. Private, small bathroom We very much appreciated the kindness of the hosts who went out of their way to make the guests feel welcome. We also appreciated being allowed to use the staff kitchen and to store items in the reception after check out. We liked sitting on the patio/garden in front of the hotel.

The furniture is a bit old and some need renovation but the atmosphere was excellent so we enjoyed the place after all.

Beautiful atmosphere, shady terrace. The apartment is very close to the beach, the shops and reastaurants, parking is nearby at the end of the street. We loved the place and the town as well. The owners were very kind and helpful.

No hot water

Great welcome and nice area. confortable and quiet seeing as I was the only one in the establishment (mid-march). Unfortunatly no hot water.

Nothing to dislike really. It has typical facilities of a Greek island holiday accommodation. The stairs could be a problem for some but there are rooms on the lower floors too.

Situated on the hillside it is nicely isolated from the hustle and bustle but still close enough to the village centre and the beach :-) It has a lovely quaint and quirky style and decoration - Very homely, clean and welcoming.

It clearly states in the listing and on a sign at the property that there is on site parking……..however there is none at all and parking is either on the street, if you can find it, or you must pay €5 a day in a car park.

The property had a nice feel and was in an excellent position.

Right in the heart of Matala, minutes walking distance to the beach, and close to a large paid parking space. The room was very clean and provided the basics required for a short beach stay.

The heat is extreme and the sea can be very rough in the south (Matala). We visited towards 2nd half of August.

Very friendly host. Aphrodite makes sure you have a warm welcome and that you can reach out to her when you need something. We really enjoyed the stay however had to cut short the trip due to extreme heat at that point. However we enjoyed our time there. We can grab breakfast at multiple Cafes right outside her place. Everyone is so kind and polite.

The host sometimes replies within 2-3 days in the booking app. But she is very friendly and explains everything during the check-in process.

The host was very friendly and provided the necessary information during the check-in process. The facility lack washing machines for clients, but there is a small laundry nearby (within 3-5 min walk).

A lock on the bathroom door would have been good and the wifi up the back could be better but overall it didn't really matter.

The AC unit leaked a lot - our stay was short so it wasn’t a huge problem, but something to keep in mind if staying here for a longer period of time. Wifi didn’t work great.

Excellent location - beach, restaurants, bars and shops right on the doorstep. Bed was comfortable. The room and bathroom were a little old but had everything we needed. Very good value for money during the middle of August. Parking available for free nearby the property.

Poor wi-fi and mobile reception in the rooms, okay sitting outside. Poor water pressure in the shower with hand held shower hose only. However host is aware of these issues and is working on improving over the next few years having taken over the property from her mother a few years ago.

lWhat I didn’t like: the bathroom was really small, with difficulty even getting in; the water drain was broken, very old, and not functional. The cleanliness left much to be desired. The girl on the morning shift was very kind, while the one in the afternoon was very rude. I will definitely return to Matala, but not to this property.

The bathroom would need an upgrade. But was not a problem for a short stay.
