Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeDoor was not very soundproof, could hear the corridor noise quite clearly. Design was on the older side.
Location was excellent, it was just beside the station with everything you need. Room is much bigger compared to cities like Tokyo and Osaka

SingaporeWould be nice to have shuttle bus to airport. The annex building was quite a bit of a walk.
It’s a super location beside 2 train stations and close to village and all its attractions and restaurants.

United KingdomWe were initially given a smoking room (or perhaps a previous smoking room) that smelt stale and with little natural light. We complained (having booked a non-smoking room) and were then offered a small double (we booked a twin) eventually after a bit of huffing and puffing by the staff member, we were offered a nice twin, with no smoking smell and plenty of natural light. Luckily my wife is Japanese and was able to convey our displeasure, not sure how a foreigner would fair…
The room was comfortable and well equipped, fridge, water boiler, robes, slippers etc. just lacking a security box, which meant that we had to take our valuables with us everywhere. The location is ideal, right in the centre, a couple of minutes walk from both Keisei Narita and JR Narita rail stations. There is a small AEON with good supermarket 10 minutes walk away.

United StatesSlightly awkward door openings and widths for entering the room and bathroom. The large step up for the bathroom.entrance. was overly tall It seemed more than 6 inches in height.
The location to the light rail system was convenient. The front desk check-in staff was knowledgeable and courteous.

GermanyThe hotel is in acceptable condition, but it is visibly old/worn out. The staff at the reception were... direct and to the point... not rude, but not eager to help either. I found myself wishing for bigger or more bed pillows.
The location is great, and the price is competitive. I was expecting worse after reading some comments, but our room was clean and spatious.

IndonesiaFree shuttle bus to / from airport is not available anymore. I had to spend almost 5000 yen for oneway taxi from airport. It is a minus point for the hotel to make the guests return again.
I like the location, right in the centre of Narita city, and staffs are helpful and friendly.

ThailandThe decor is a little outdated. Oh they did a pre-authorization on my credit card and hold my funds for a few days, which meant that I had less money to use until they returned the amount. It took about 3-4 days. Luckily they returned the amount on the last day of my trip or else I would not have enough money to use.
The location is great. It is right next to the train station. The rooms are spacious for a Japanese hotel. Check in was smooth. Everything was within expectation.

SpainDirty carpets full of dust, particularly under the bed, furniture and room corners. Room Bath with mold, yellow old plastic commodities with a smell of snuff/tobacco scent on the room. At check out 11AM, upon request and with sufficient time in advance, we asked for a changing room to get our soaked wet clothes swapped prior taking the train at 15PM, unfortunately the hotel staff declined and kindly suggested us to use the Restrooms for this purpose. Note we were 2 families travelling with 3 kids of 1 and 3 years old.

United KingdomI stayed in winter and both the rooms we had were unbelievably hot, the AC had been left on full blast the whole day obviously. We had to open our windows to get the temperature down to a bearable level. Also my room door was wide open when I first arrived, maybe the cleaners had forgot to close it.
Location is good, near both the stations in Narita, and also has plenty of food options nearby. Hotel is old but clean enough and does the job for a one night stay.

GuamVery retro and tired feeling hotel. It feels very 90s or early 00s. The A/C is programmed to heat during early spring. But the windows actually open and are pretty large. However, if you want to sleep with the windows open, you're going to be listening to the trains at least until midnight. Everything felt so aged and in desperate need of updating or general maintenance.
Very convenient in town and near the train station. It's just a couple stops away from the airport.

United KingdomIt would be nice to have a shuttle bus to the airport. I know just one or two stops to the airport by train but sometimes it would be easier to just jump on the bus for travellers with lost of luggage.
Good sized room, comfortable bed and good soundproof window. I chose this hotel because there are two Narita stations (Narita line & Keisei line) in short walking distance. Very convenient location.

SingaporeSecurity has became bad. I have been staying in this hotel for 6-8 times every year since 15 years ago. Hotel front desk has always been nice to let me store my bags for a few hours after I check out. The usual procedure until late 2023 I have experienced was they will take over my bags and issue me with a tag. However this recent stay in year 2024 was bag. The front desk staff did not take over my bags but pointed to a reception table which was opposite the check in counter and ask me to leave my bags behind the table . That was fine but he did not tag the bag. It is as good as leaving your bags unattended. When I pointed out to him why the other bags have net covering over it and some have number tags he said those bags are for guest waiting to check in. I told him what if others took my bags he said they have cameras! I would very much want to express my dismay to this bad explanation from the staff and also hotel policy. It is just too lame to assure their guest that the camera will watch their bags that was left behind the table. How could they be certain that which bags belong to who without tagging them ? How sure are they to identify and stop someone when they try to claim the untagged for themselves ? Isn’t it too late when bags gone missing and they look into the camera and tell the owner of the bag that someone took their bag ? Will they be responsible or are they able to track down the theft ? If the hotel is not valuing check out guest and do not want to take the responsibility to watch the bags stored in hotel then please jolly well do not provide the service for check out guest to store bags in hotel for a few hours. This lack of security and responsibility is not acceptable and had made me decide to look at other choices.
Convenient and right next to train station.

SingaporeRoom window is difficult to open. Could do some servicing.
Good location and easy access to train stations like KEISEI-Narita to Airport (just enter station and platform right in front) and many eateries around. Hotel is clean but a little old and needs refreshing, though still comfy to stay n sleep. Reception staff is very helpful and room service is immediate to address issue. Weighing machine near the reception is useful. Staff also very helpful for luggage storage for those arriving early before checking. A must have facility for any hotel.
