How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The message on how to get in the building and to recuperate the key could be sent earlier, if possible at the time of booking or paying for the room.
Excellent location. Clean and comfortable. I will recommend the place to friends. The staff was very helpful.

A noise from the street could be heard during hight and morning as by the street and we were on ground floor - it was ok for us as staied one night.
Perfect location-on foot in short time to all attractions. Bars and shops around so easy for breakfast, meal or coffe. Flexible and user friendly checkin and out. App was clean, not big but ok, it had necessary things for short stay, comfortable bads. Not for long stay in the room.

Location was fantastic, we were told 3 times by taxi and tour guides what a great location we had picked. Less than 5 minutes walk from the old town square but relatively quiet. It was spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy. Staff were really friendly and responsive online even when the office was closed. We arrived at 10am due to our flight times and even though check in was not until 2pm we were lucky our room was ready and they sent us straight up.

I prefer stone or clickfloor over carpet for hygiëne reason. But it is a detail, so I would book here again for my next stay

Pls check the cleanes under the mattres
The apartment was smaller but contained everything as it should. the location was really awesome. we even managed to park right under the window. we had a window to the street and it was noisier there in the evening. on saturday it was almost impossible to sleep because there was a party nearby and they were yawning there until 2 in the morning. for which the lessor is not responsible. I would definitely recommend it to others. please, next time when cleaning, check the mess under the mattress as well.

A couple of problems with the apartment were noted and we were swapped straight away. Friendly, helpful staff and a bottle of wine to apologise for our inconvenience.

The mezzanine was not very clean with crisps on the carpet etc also the curtains do not cover the windows
Location and facilities were excellent as was the helpfulness of the staff from booking airport transfers to sorting breakfasts which were really good (sweet version ie fruit and yogurt etc)

The size of the apartment and the stairs. We was floor 20 - With all the luggage we had and the stairs to climb each day was alot. - The apartment was a good size however it could have been slightly bigger with a bigger bathroom too.
Incredible location to stay - The room was very clean and the facilities fantastic. The staff were very friendly and precheck in was great as our flight was arriving very late so nobody to meet us. Amazing place.

The room was slightly warm at night even with aircon.
The room was very specious and very clean. Hotel was also in a great location a 5 minute walk to the square and close to all the best spots in Krakow. Great Value for money would highly recommend.

No lift we were at the top floor maybe 150 stairs to room Some of the windows in the room had no blinds
The room was clean, spacious and modern. Hotel staff were friendly and happy to help with any questions. The room had a fridge and kitchen area The location was close to the main square
