Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PolandWell, our room was on a ground floor near the entrance, so we skip climbing stairs, but it was a little bit noisy - street, other people travelling nearby or staying and talking by phone. The hotel is acoustic, you hear your neighbour's step overhead. I don't know how often they change towels but during our 4-day stay it didn't happen. Probably you have to ask for it. The room was a little bit tight, but it doesn't matter if you treat it like a place to sleep only.
Probably the most friendly staff I've ever met, thanks a lot for your hospitality, kindness, extra tea and smile :) A girl from day shift and a "buddy not buddy" from night shift (she will explain to you and sorry I forgot you name my B friend) created a really good vibe. What else? Tasty breakfasts, good WiFi, clean room, thousands TV programs (if needed) and close to tram even if a bit steep.

MontenegroThe staff doesn't speak English. The building is old, with wooden stairs and a heavy metal door. Every time someone enters or goes upstairs, the noise is so loud that it disrupts our sleep.

ItalyMy room's walls were not soundproof, so I could gere everything from the other rooms, including the corridors main door continously slamming even during the nighttime. Poor cleanness (the toothbrush glass in the toilette was disgustingly dirty and the sheets had some stains) and total lack of facilities in the room (no water or drinks in the minibar, any toilette set in the bathroom and just a almost finished toilet rool).
The staff members were friendly but they could not speak a decent level of English.

CanadaThey were in 4th Floor. No good for people with pain on knees. (75 and 80 years old) Stairs lights are very poor, because during the evening and day too dark. Lights stay on if you move, if not, off and does not illuminate. No chair in room. Cockroach during the night. Public transportation only taxi. Noisy because others guests. And we can not cancel because is non-refundable. We accept because waste money for 2 rooms, no good for any budget.
Near many nice places.

United StatesThe rooms are tiny. I ended up getting a suit and upgrading my reservation. They asked me to pay cash and didn’t accept cards . The suit was dirty - I literally found a used cotton swab on the floor in the bathroom and someone else’s hair. My family was staying in the different hotel, and one day my sister stopped by for an hour. It was during the day!! And she didn’t stay with me overnight! But the manager asked me to bring her passport (!!!). I was like “are you trying to say that if my sister comes to drink tea with me, she has to give you her passport?!” And the manager said “yes, that’s the hotel rules”. I stayed for 2 weeks. They didn’t clean room once. No one ( literally no one!) speaks English. I had to Google-translate everything to Turkish . But the best thing of all - right across the street, there is a shoe factory. They make shoes in the building….and it STINKS. It smells like burnt rubber . I’ve paid them twice- and I believe they scammed me into paying more. Otherwise, why wouldn’t they accept card payment? Oh and one more thing . I asked for non -smoking room and was given a disgusting stinky smoking room. With traces of cigarettes all over the bed . I got non smoking room only after paying extra .
The location is good
