Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Trinidad and TobagoNothing.
Everything. The staff was lovely. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning had a lot of variety. We visited the spa twice and got excellent service. Location took us out of the busier spots but was still within walking distance of the old town.

Absolutely the best place to relax and explore! We originally booked 3 nights but decided to stay for 5 — and still didn’t want to leave. There’s plenty to do around, and we spent three wonderful days exploring the area on a scooter. Everything was simply perfect. The hotel is located in a beautiful colonial-style building, and the rooms are exactly as shown in the photos — stylish, spacious, and very comfortable. Everything you might need is there. The room was cleaned every day, with fresh water, tea, and coffee replenished daily. We had a room with a large terrace, furnished with chairs and a table — perfect for drying wet clothes after the beach or the pool. Breakfasts were delicious and varied, offering both Asian and European options. You can even order authentic Vietnamese coffee from the staff — just like in a café. The menu changes every day and includes Vietnamese specialties, so you can try some unique local dishes and sweets. There’s also a swimming pool — a great way to cool off after hot days — and a lovely spa. I had a massage with Cherry and highly recommend her! Cherry is an excellent masseuse and such a kind, warm person. The spa itself is cozy, spotless, and decorated in the same elegant style as the rest of the hotel, with soft background music that truly helps you unwind after a busy day. And finally — the cherry on top — the staff. I couldn’t believe that already on the second day the reception girls remembered our room number (on the 7th floor) and how we liked our coffee at breakfast. They are helpful, smiling, friendly (and speak great English!), always patient and focused on guests, never rushing. Alice and Bee — I’ll always remember you warmly. Thank you again, and we hope to see you next time! Oh, and I almost forgot! The room is quiet! No noise from the air conditioning or the street — perfect for a good night’s sleep. The mattresses are super comfortable, with several pillows — not too hard, unlike in many other places.

United StatesNothing. I had a great stay here however if the hotel can upgrade the room a little bit more like more modern style it will be beyond awesome.
This hotel is in a great location! I arrived at night, and seeing the beautiful lanterns in front of the hotel immediately made me fall in love with Hội An even more. The staff were wonderful — very welcoming and attentive throughout my entire stay, which I truly appreciated. The room was quite clean, though it looked a little older than I expected (perhaps because that’s the charm of Hội An). There wasn’t an iron in the room, but the staff provided one when I asked. The pool is located downstairs, but during my stay, it seemed like no one was using it. The buffet breakfast was absolutely amazing — honestly the best I’ve had since coming back to Vietnam. I even had a nice chat with the manager one morning, and he treated me to the best Vietnamese coffee ever!

MalaysiaThe lobby and check in area was very hot and warm. Not sure why the hotel does not want to switch on the air conditioning system in the afternoon but instead leave the reception area open. There is hardly any wind too. Even during buffet breakfast, the hotel did not fully switch on their air conditioning system. Luckily they have some standing fan. I would suggest they always keep the lobby/reception area fully air conditioned as that is the first place guest goes to upon arrival.
Spacious room, spacious bathroom and it was a very comfortable sleep too. The Toileteries provided were very frangrant too.

AustraliaNothing- everything was great
Another lovely stay at Little Residence in Hoi An. We stayed here for 3 nights back in late June whilst on our holiday from Australia. We had already enjoyed staying here a few years ago, so we decided to come back again. Staff were very friendly and welcoming on arrival, providing us with refreshing drinks - a lovely start to our stay. Our room was beautiful, we were lucky enough to be given a free upgrade when they realised we were return customers- thank you. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and well appointed, for a relaxing stay and good night sleep. The private balcony views nice. The bathroom was lovely, with a nice tub for a relaxing soak also a nice hot shower. The air conditioning worked well, keeping us lovely and cool during our stay. The fridge in the room worked great. Swimming in refreshing pool was pleasant. We also enjoyed a visit to their day spa, for a relaxing pedicure. Breakfast provided each morning was delicious, especially their cooked to order eggs - very nice. Hotel location is great, a close flat walk to the night markets, shopping and sightseeing. We also enjoyed the free shuttle to the nearby beach, having a tasty lunch there at the restaurant overlooking the water. We enjoyed yet another wonderful stay here, many thanks to all the staff- especially Manager Andrew, staff - Tracey, Sol, and Bee, for making our stay special. We would happily recommend Little Residence to others and hope to return again in the future.

United StatesWe stayed at its sister hotel, and then this one after, about .5 miles away - overall love the company that owns these hotels. Large room, attentive staff, pretty good buffet breakfast, needs more places for clothes - such as chest of drawers. Also need to work on the hotels a/c and room a/c. Overall a nice stay.

United KingdomI can’t think of anything!
Location was perfect - near the river and a 10 minute walk from the old town. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable and lovely up have a balcony to watch the world go by. I loved the veranda overlooking the street. The staff were always very helpful. We also tried the sister hotel for dinner (on the river) - food at both was excellent! I hadn’t expected such a great experience and it made our trip very pleasant.

AustraliaIt’s a little bit out of ancient town, but not too far a walk. Coming at this time of year though when it’s so hot it seems far.
The rooms are very clean and the beds comfortable. The towels linen, bathroom amenities etc were all fantastic. They had a pool but it was indoors and unfortunately, although there’s a pool bar it was never open. Breakfast was simple but was delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful and every morning when you hop out of the lift they give you an enthusiastic hello to start your day off fabulously. There is a fantastic leather shop to get bags and shoes etc made diagonally opposite and a couple of mini marts on both corners so really handy for supplies

United StatesReally, there was nothing to improve. The hallways were hot, but our room was very well cooled before we checked in, so the hallways didn’t bother us.
We wanted to stay close to the busy area, but not IN it. Your place was perfect. No big crowds of people, but walking distance to restaurants and activities. Staff was SO pleasant and helpful and sweet. Breakfast buffet was consistently good. The housekeeping staff was fantastic (and the floor cleaner smells divine). You even provided complimentary transportation to our next hotel in Danang due to our long stay with you.
