We had a very comfortable room with good facilities. We slept very well. The service was excellent, the staff very friendly. We had a great breakfast and a delicious dinner in the restaurant. The beer was also very good. All in all we were very satisfied, the price was fair and we would be happy to come back.

Stayed here for one night - fantastic welcome from all the staff in hotel, restaurant and bar. Great restaurant, great food, great room and great location. I asked for a quiet room with countryside views and was not disappointed. Room had views of the millpond and fields. Check in is at 3pm so we booked a table for an early lunch. The restaurant was full and serving a varied menu but as it was Sunday, we opted for the roast dinner. It was excellent and, while there’s a few recommended restos in Sudbury and surrounding area, this was a good choice. The room (3rd floor - lots of stairs - we chose to leave the suitcase in the car!) was full of character, clean and very comfortable. We almost booked into an olde pub, but the Mill is just as ‘olde’ and then some. Happy to recommend this hotel based on my experience of our stay.

Great location to attend a wedding at Gosfield Hall - was able to walk to/from the venue. Room was spacious, clean, great amenities with a beautiful lake view. Host were so friendly and welcoming.

We liked everything about The White Hart. ALL staff were wonderful! All THE meals were incredibly delicious!! the portions were generous, couldn't eat everything even though we tried. LOVED the historic old age of the buildings.

A basic buffet was offered, however the staff were very accommodating to requests, both in the restaurant and generally. The food was hot and very well presented. I really liked this Inn as it was light and airy yet it had a warm cozy feel to it too. It also had a nice outside tabled area, weather permitting.
