We received a very warm welcome and got a detailed explanation of the room right away. Breakfast was excellent – especially the fact that you can get an egg cooked exactly the way you like every day. The location is decent for Defqon, and Zwolle train station is super easy to reach. The hotel is located right by the shopping street, which is perfect for grabbing a snack or doing some shopping. We also really enjoyed the beautiful koi pond in the garden, which we admired every day because we love fish. Highly recommended for Defqon visitors! Definitely use the taxi driver recommended by the host – that was a real insider tip!

Breakfast is delicious. We made used of the swimming pool and sauna after our 25km hike. Friendly and helpful staff. Stunning location and nature is on your doorstep. Beautiful room.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our family of 4 (2 teens). The service was impeccable. Genuinely caring and thoughtful staff. Knowledgeable about the surroundings, food and wines. We had drinks in the lounge with a roaring fire and there were boardgames to play. The head-chef is such a great human. Spent time talking to our family about the wildlife and accommodated to our daughters on food. The rooms were well appointed. Slightly warm for our taste but was easily adjustable. The surrounding grounds are well kept, with great walking paths. There are bikes on site as well. There is a great pool (1.40) that is heated to 28 degrees. We didn't swim in it as there was a storm, but we would have gladly done so otherwise. The poolhouse allows for changing right next to the pool and in the summer months they serve light snacks there as well. We will definitely come back!

I liked everything about this hotel. The location is really nice; all you hear are birds. Breakfast is good, there's a lot of choice and you can also enjoy it outside. Rooms are clean and quiet. The staff (in hotel and restaurant) is very friendly. The weather was a bit chilly, but because the pool is heated I could swim anyway.

The cosy, comfortable Hotel Restaurant De Vossenberg offers nice guest rooms in the charming village centre of Vierhouten, set amidst a forested area.

Not sure why there are some negative reviews. It's a really good and nice place... Parking is available right next to the cottage. Good Wi-Fi is available as well.

The breakfast was absolutely incredible. So much care and effort had gone into it, we were gutted to only stay 1 night. There was more than enough to make us both a packed lunch as well!! Room very comfortable and great to have a kitchen in there as well. We would definitely come back!
