I mean, if you do not drink wine, you will not appreciate this place the way we did. Family run, wine based hotel. Their wine production started in 1783 or something like this, and the family tree is proudly displayed on the wall. Upon arrival we have tried 5 wines. There was a sect for breakfast (which we could not enjoy as we were driving on). You can buy their wines -- after tasting -- or the next day, to make sure that you know what you are doing ;-) Very good breakfast. Staff speaks English. A lot more wine around ;-)))))))

We enyojed our stay very much. Our goal was pure peace in beautiful nature and we got it :-). The place is beautiful, the hosts pay a lot of attention to detail in the decor, it was comfy and clean. We had good food and enyojed a magical location too!

Even though the buildings there are very old (foundations from the 14th century, they say), you'd never know it once you're inside. The rooms are clean, cozy, and the best part - you can sleep like a baby, no noise at all. Sauna Heaven After a day of skiing, nothing beats their wellness area. They have 3 different saunas and a nice relaxation room. And when you want to cool down? Just run outside into the snow! Bit of a shock, but the feeling afterward is amazing! And if the hotel's wellness area isn't enough for you, you can visit the nearby Ybbstaler Solebad baths (https://www.ybbstaler-solebad.at). The Food Was Amazing Breakfast? Awesome! The buffet had everything you could think of, and everything was fresh and tasty. The best part was being able to order eggs made any way you want - that was a great start to each day. The dinners were even better! We ordered those 4-course dinners and they were worth every penny. Something different every night and everything was so well prepared that we couldn't stop eating! Great Location The hotel is in a quiet spot, so no hustle and bustle. And what's great - the Hochkar ski slopes are super close. Morning to the slopes, evening back to the hotel, no long drives.
