Excellent service from start to finish. The staff were helpful and informative and always poised to support and help out . We wanted for nothing and the vibe of the hotel really helped immerse you in the local area. A great experience.

I can't begin to describe how good my stay was here. The accommodations were amazing. The room was warm and cozy. The building was beautiful and looked new and clean but, had the charm of an old traditional Japanese home. I came to snowboard and they had a room to store and dry all my wet gear. They were able to handle shipping my snowboard to and from the airport with Yamato transport. There is a direct bus to and from Shiga Kogen every day as well. There is not an onsen on site but, you can buy tickets to various local onsens, all of which were spectacular. All onsens had an indoor and outdoor bath. Breakfast was served every morning and, it was great to eat and chat with other travelers. Truly, the best part about staying here was the owners themselves. Yoshi and Seong-mi were two of the kindest, most friendly people I've encountered on any of my trips across the world. They made my experience feel like I was staying with my brother and sister. In fact, the whole town of Yudanaka felt like home to me and, I know this is a place I will never forget for the rest of my life.

This place is perfect for a few days getaway in the mountains! Really lovely hosts (Yusuke and his wife) and beautifully done up building. Yusuke gave great itinerary suggestions and safety and transport tips, and hosted an epic bonfire for the guests too. Nice communal feel, well maintained and clean facilities. On-site restaurant as well with delicious food makes it easy to sort out dinner plans! Arigatō gozaimasu!

Raicho Onsen Inn is amazing. I will come back if I can for sure. The staff is lovely. The private onsens are amazing. We went on a snowshoe tour and it was seriously the best thing we have done in Japan. There is a communal kitchen, which was really great, and spaces to relax and work. I wish we could have stayed longer!

They took such good care of us, and our conversations were light-hearted, joyful, and truly memorable. If you’re looking for a place where you can relax, feel completely at ease, and connect with the lovely spirit of Japan, Nomanomori is perfect. We can’t wait to return!

B&B Hotel Hyochoan byl otevřen v srpnu 2012 a nabízí jednoduché ubytování v západním stylu. Na pokojích je zdarma dostupné Wi-Fi a na terase si můžete vychutnat pozorování ptáků. The hosts went above and beyond in every aspect to take care of my parents during their stay. It was very helpful having the pick up and drop off service from the train station since they weren't confident navigating by themselves.

Malý 6pokojový zájezdní hostinec s možností stravování v ryokanu a útulným interiérem se nachází jen pár minut jízdy od opičího parku Jigokudani a 8 minut chůze od vlakového nádraží Yudanaka. We really liked Yudanaka Yasuragi. The owners did everything to make us feel comfortable—they picked us up from the train station, drove us to the monkey park the next day, and were generally very kind and eager to help. The food was amazing—you really can't miss the dinner they serve there; it was one of the best we had in Japan. The onsen is fantastic, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. You should definitely visit this place!

A 5-minute drive from National Treasure Matsumoto Castle, Ryokan Seifuso is next to Shinshu University and boasts a view of the Northern Alps and the freshness of the Metoba River. Breakfast has the option of Japanese or Western (also vegetarian option). Rooms were a nice size, larger than hotels in Tokyo. Host were very friendly. We were able to walk to most sites of interest due to the good location.
