We were staying in one of the suites and it was sensational. We were told the room had been redone about a year ago and the room was luxurious and very spacious. We had our own private onsen which was amazing and so beautiful particularly when it was snowing. The communal area was also quite new (the photos don’t reflect the update). Watching the koi fish from this area was very relaxing. The public baths were also very clean and relaxing. The staff were very professional and kind. There was only one staff member who spoke English but everyone made us feel so welcome and we used a translating app when we needed to. I would definitely recommend staying here. I can’t speak highly enough about how much we enjoyed our time here.

Only a 5-minute walk from JR Yamagata Station’s West exit, Richmond Hotel Yamagata Ekimae features comfortable rooms with free Wi-Fi, drinks vending machines and massage treatments. The proximity was great and the room very comfortable. Most hotels have smaller rooms but we felt the space was bigger to fit luggage and not feel so cramped.

Winter closure of the open-air baths "Shirakaba-no-yu" (Late December - 28 February) Due to the accumulation of snow, the open-air bath will be closed during the winter. Hotel and room is clean and new and spacious. Friendly staff. Free shuttle van service to and fro. ski slope morning and afternoon. Buffet breakfast and included dinner is superb. Onsen in the hotel and free access to outdoor onsen which is 1min walk away.

Hotel Crown Hills Yamagata se 3 hvězdičkami se nachází v destinaci Jamagata. Lyžařský rezort Zao Hotsprings se nachází asi 17 km od tohoto hotelu a Yamagata vlaková stanice 400 metrů. Very close to Yamagata station and excellent value for money. In the reception room floor there was a variety of shampoos and shower gels to borrow and other toiletries such as toothbrushes to take. We enjoyed the Japanese style breakfast and the massage chairs were a pleasant surprise.

Only a 6-minute walk from JR Yamagata Train Station, Yamagata Kokusai Hotel offers accommodations with free wired internet access and a flat-screen TV. Near station with tons of restaurants nearby. Staff nice.
