Breakfast was alright. We loved the room, the hot tub in the room and the very helpful staff. And of course the Mt. Fuji view. We were on the 3rd floor, but we still got a good view of the mountain.

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. We had a fantastic time at Konsano. The private Onsen and dinner in our room were some of the highlights of our trip and they were very accommodating to our dietary requirements. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, special mention to our room clerk Etsuko who made us tea on arrival and served our meal. We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji on our first day, and the rooftop footbath was much needed after all our exploring!

Renovated in September 2018, Guesthouseほのぼの offers an accommodation with free WiFi in Fujikawaguchiko, 1.3 km from Lake Kawaguchi. This was one of the friendliest and cosy guesthouses I've stayed at. The owner was so kind and went above and beyond for us. Offering pick ups from the station and drop offs at no extra cost. The vibe is welcoming and friendly, colourful character to the whole space. We hired bikes from the guesthouse to ride around, which was fantastic. The rooms were spacious, had secure luggage storage and lots of toilets/showers to share. Big shared lounge and kitchen. Really enjoyed.

What I liked about the property was how comfortable I was able to be and how warm and welcoming the staff were. This place is very special and dear to me because not only was the location great but the staff were so accommodating and this place had so much charm to it. The facilities were great as well super clean and sanitary beds were great and I felt very safe here. The best part was having coffee and chatting with the owners Keisuke and Marino. Great people with great stories, I could definitely talk to them for days straight if I wasn’t backpacking throughout Japan. Overall Yamanakako is a hidden gem and there is no better place to stay and experience it than Guesthouse Murabito.
