The cabanas and the little cute pool are made with so much love and attention to details. The yard is full of greenery, birds and life, so beautiful. But most amazing is the hospitality of Rasi, Chami and especially Anwar who always went extra mile for caring of us. The breakfast was lovely, freshly home made and varied every day. It was really hard to leave the place.

200 metres from Dutch Church Galle, Prince of Galle is situated within the fortress walls of Galle Fort and features free WiFi, express check-in and check-out and concierge services. We were greeted with plush, icy hand towels to wipe away the heat and grime of our travel. After a very relaxed check-in, we were given complimentary iced teas (fabulous!) and invited to attend the nightly flag lowering ceremony on the roof - which we did. This hotel is in a brilliant location - within walking distance to everything, and right in the heart of the old fort. The ambience is both eclectic and an homage to old Sri Lanka, with many old photos and artefacts skillfully arranged to create an inviting environment. The breakfast, which is a point of pride, is fabulous - beautiful, fresh food, carefully presented in a lovely dining room. They even catered for my dietary restrictions, replacing the french toast with a fluffy omelette. The staff are amazing - professional, friendly, generous and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and we were treated with the greatest of hospitality. We are so glad that we chose Prince of Galle as our final stay in Sri Lanka - it was a delightful end to a wonderful holiday.

The restaurant serves high-quality food with a great mix of local and international dishes.

Lovely hotel with breathtaking views overlooking the bay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The satff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fruits and variety of srilankan dishes.

The Galle Fort Hotel began life as an 18th Century Dutch villa and along the way has taken many guises from RAF barracks, post office, bakery, lapidary and in the recent past a pitch for the Fort’s... Probably one of the best hotels I stayed! Excellent rooms, incredible staff, very service orientated, great restaurant, beautiful old building in an historical setting.
