The staff truly made our stay special with their warm smiles and attentive service. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Breakfast was a highlight each morning, featuring delicious freshly-prepared dishes. We particularly appreciated how thoughtful they were during our two-day stay - they even varied the menu on the second day, replacing hoppers with different flatbreads to ensure variety. I highly recommend 36 Bed & Breakfast to any traveler seeking a peaceful and delightful stay in Kandy, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Krásné prostředí , super majitel, zařídil večeři , byl připraven všechno splnit. Super byl jeho pomocník, nachystal snídani a odnesl kufry. Paní domácí udělala výborné nudle s kuřecím .

Naprosto dokonalý malý rezort, kde jsme se cítili jako v pohádce, Absolutně úžasné služby, personál se o nás staral jako o vlastní rodinu. Neskutečný výhled z bazénu, fotky dostatečně nevystihují tu nádheru a klid. Opička nad námi doladila pohodu do maxima. Doporučujeme na 200%!

Clean, spacious and a great staff. We did the Pekoe Trail tour with Garmini and it was brilliant! Best thing we did in Kandy and Garmini was a great guide! Location is good as it is in the hills away from the pollution and by lots of hikes.

I loved the house, the hospitable host Ananda, and I loved the breakfasts and dinners cooked by Ananda's wife! HHR is located on the hill outside the city, surrounded by luscious green. I slept like a baby and listened to birds' voices. It's a pleasure to take a walk in the area. The Pekoe Trail is near by meandering along the slopes covered with tea plantations. The house and the rooms are meticulously clean and very comfortable. Ananda is eager to help and takes every measure to make your stay enjoyable. He took me around in his car and gave me his sarong to go to the Temple (you need to cover your knees). He is a very warm and supportive person.

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely house in the hills just outside Kandy. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature, with stunning views over a forest valley — the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. The house itself is modern, beautifully renovated, and very comfortable. But what really stood out was the warmth of the couple who own it. From the first moment, they made me feel truly at home — more like a guest in their home than a customer. In the morning they prepared a delicious homemade Sri Lankan breakfast. One of the highlights was the coconut rotti — absolutely incredible — along with fresh fruit and other traditional dishes. You could really taste the care they put into everything. They also went out of their way to help me when the airline delayed my baggage. They followed up and made sure it arrived safely at the house, which I really appreciated. If you’re visiting Kandy and looking for a quiet, authentic place with genuine hospitality, I can’t recommend this stay enough.

Mike and Krishnan were very accommodating and helpful right from the start and gave me tips on getting around too. Mike sorted out my transfers from and to the train station even though he was supposed to conduct the morning yoga session so I really appreciate his effort. There’s a yoga and meditation hall and you can use it anytime you want. The stay here was the highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka and I really hope to come back soon.
