The Golden Crown Hotel is a 5-star hotel located in Ampitya, Kandy, Srilanka. The hotel is impressive as soon as you walk in. The staff were quick to greet you and help you check in. The room (family), was spacious, quiet, very clean with all modern fittings and amenities. The breakfast was excellent - catered for a range of cuisines. Again, the restaurant staff were friendly and attentive. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Krásné prostředí , super majitel, zařídil večeři , byl připraven všechno splnit. Super byl jeho pomocník, nachystal snídani a odnesl kufry. Paní domácí udělala výborné nudle s kuřecím .

Naprosto dokonalý malý rezort, kde jsme se cítili jako v pohádce, Absolutně úžasné služby, personál se o nás staral jako o vlastní rodinu. Neskutečný výhled z bazénu, fotky dostatečně nevystihují tu nádheru a klid. Opička nad námi doladila pohodu do maxima. Doporučujeme na 200%!

We had an amazing stay at Hanthana House. The room was spotless, modern, and the bed super comfortable – truly first-class quality. The balcony view over the jungle is just magical: waking up to monkeys and birds is an experience in itself. What made it unforgettable were the hosts – Paty, his wife, and their son Mack – who are true super hosts. They made us feel at home from the first moment, always warm and welcoming. Don’t miss the homemade curry with rice for dinner – absolutely delicious, a 10/10! This place combines comfort, nature, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Kandy.

The host was very accommodating. He helped us was whatever request we had (laundry, dinner, tour or Tuk Tuk arrangement). The service was outstanding, going above and beyond our expectations. The room was very clean, with lots of space and light, very comfortable, with a nice view and in a green and quiet area. The bed was very comfortable. We were feeling so great that we extended our stay. The location was a bit tricky, but could be easily arranged with a Tuk Tuk for between 400 or 800 rupees (depending if you get a Pickup ride or not) We were very grateful for the special arrangements for our daughter’s birthday and would recommend the place to anyone with children

I had a fantastic stay at this lovely house in the hills just outside Kandy. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature, with stunning views over a forest valley — the perfect place to relax after exploring the city. The house itself is modern, beautifully renovated, and very comfortable. But what really stood out was the warmth of the couple who own it. From the first moment, they made me feel truly at home — more like a guest in their home than a customer. In the morning they prepared a delicious homemade Sri Lankan breakfast. One of the highlights was the coconut rotti — absolutely incredible — along with fresh fruit and other traditional dishes. You could really taste the care they put into everything. They also went out of their way to help me when the airline delayed my baggage. They followed up and made sure it arrived safely at the house, which I really appreciated. If you’re visiting Kandy and looking for a quiet, authentic place with genuine hospitality, I can’t recommend this stay enough.
