They arranged transport from our previous accommodation and to our next accommodation. They also took us to safari with their own jeep. As for food - the breakfast, as well as dinner, was delicious. The dinner is a rice&curry buffet with spicy and non-spicy options. For lunch, there are several soups and sandwiches available. We were traveling with a picky 4yo, so this was a lifesaver.

The room was very confortable and had a private balcony with nice views. The breakfast and dinner were delicious. We did the safary tour with the owner and we loved It, he really knows the place, and is very good at spotting small animals like lizards and birds.We saw many elephants, some of them very close! It was fantastic... Highly recomended It!

The mud huts, made by the owner Upul himself, are quite large and well furnished. The bathroom was nice, with a cold shower and good water pressure. The bed comes with a mosquito net, though I'm not sure if it was necessary with the A/C. The location is great, just off the main road. You are a short walk to the restaurants and shops, but far enough removed that it is quiet, and feels like the jungle. The provided breakfast is very large and delicious. We also had dinner there one night, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The various curries were all so yummy. We did a full day safari with Upul. His love of animals is obvious, and he is so full of information. The roads near the entrance of the park are very crowded with other safari jeeps, but Upul very quickly took us away from the crowds. We didn't see any other jeeps for hours, it was amazing. He pointed out so many animals that we would have missed otherwise. The safari also includes breakfast and a snack, which were very filling and delicious. This is the place to come if you want to visit Udawalawe and do a safari!

The staff went above and beyond—from arranging a private safari tour with a knowledgeable guide to preparing delicious home-cooked meals using fresh local ingredients. They even took extra care to cater to our kids, making the whole experience family-friendly and stress-free. The resort also helped us book a safari into the national park, which was an absolute highlight. We spotted elephants, buffalo, and numerous bird species—all in their natural habitat. Whether you’re looking to explore wildlife or just relax in a natural, eco-friendly environment, Nature Lovers Family Resort is the perfect choice. We left with hearts full of gratitude and beautiful memories. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone who loves nature and genuine hospitality!

We had a very nice stay at this tree house. The owners were kind and welcoming, and they prepared good food for us. The house was clean, comfortable, and gave us a real chance to experience nature—we enjoyed watching animals from the balcony. They also organized a well-arranged safari with Janith, which was a great experience. We saw a lot of wildlife. Janith was an excellent driver and guide—he was very skilled at spotting animals and made sure we had the best possible sightings.

Spread across 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Kalu’s Hideaway Udawalawe is a perfect spot for a relaxed family getaway. We had a wonderful stay at Kalus Hideaway Udawalawe. The food was delicious, and the staff were exceptionally well-trained, attentive, and friendly. The rooms, while slightly dated, were spacious, functional, and well-equipped. We enjoyed the beautiful gardens, especially the butterfly garden, which was a delight to explore. The on-site restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and our excursion to Udawalawe National Park was a highlight of the trip. Overall, a relaxing and memorable experience — highly recommended.
