Great location not too far from Shwedagon Pagoda. Clean, comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. This is very good place to stay.

Within a 10-minute walk from the United Nations Information Centre Yangon, Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake offers luxurious accommodation set along Kandawgyi Lake. Staff went out of their way to help me at check in and then again at a very early checkout (0430). Wake up call...bellhop at my door for luggage. Breakfast to go at the front desk. Beautiful hotel in an iconic location. Thank you 🙏🏻

What a hidden gem and unbeatable value! I did a "staycation" here and absolutely loved it. What a fun and unique property. A lot of thought has clearly been put into refurbishing each room with 1920s decor; there were so many small touches that make you feel like you're sailing on a luxury cruise line from the last century. Riverside rooms have balconies offering great views. There was a bit of mold in the bathroom given the humidity and the fact that you're on a river, but overall I found the room to be super clean and comfortable. "High tea" in the restaurant was a lot of fun, and breakfast was excellent. They have a well-stocked bar, and there are also several other bars within walking distance. Most of all, I just loved wandering the decks of the ship exploring and feeling like I was at sea on a fancy yacht! Thanks for the great stay!
