Experiencing a Ryokan was amazing and Onyado Yuinosho is the perfect place for it, the staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, the food is incredible, the rooms and facilities are so fancy and pretty and atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! They give you all sorts of amenities, they have free ramen at night, coffee, yogurt drinks and they even leave local candy to try inside the room! They also have vending machines for soft drinks/coffee/tea and alcohol! The meals they serve are extremely tasty and fancy with beautiful window views of the mountains! The private onsen rooms are beatiful and relaxing! The two nights we spent there were the highlight of our trip! Absolutely must recommend this place if you plan to visit Shirakawa-go!

Ryokan Asunaro: A Traditional Japanese Inn in Takayama. Nestled just a 6-minute walk from Takayama Station and the Nohi Bus Center, Ryokan Asunaro offers an authentic Japanese inn experience. The place is absolutely beautiful. By far one of the nicest hotels I've been in. Every detail is well thought of, and the location near Takayama Old city is great.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch. Very good and very friendly staff

Nestled in the tranquil Hida Mountains, Miyama Ouan Kyoritsu Resort offers traditional accommodation featuring hot spring baths and nature views. Beautiful location. The food was exceptional. The baths were wonderful.

寅家 Japanese modern hotel se nachází v destinaci Gero a nabízí pokoje s výhledem na hory. Jen 700 metrů odtud je Gero Station. EVERYTHING. The dream come true in a ryokan (and affordable). I truly love the private onsen. It was bliss. The room, the yukatas, the ambience, the fact that look like is brand new construction but in a traditional aesthetic. A dream.
