The host was most friendly, and a very wonderful person. The onsen is great and has easy to follow instructions for tourists available. The view over the city at night was truly marvelous. We extended our stay.

The staff was very kind and helpful and the meals were really tasty and beautifully presented ! The room and the Ryokan were splendid and the position is wonderful ! It was an experience that I'll never forget !

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. A very comfortable tatami-mat room with a deep full soak tub. The location in regards to Nara Park was fantastic and I had a wonderful view of Tōdai-ji in the mornings. Things were very quiet, the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was everything it could be including walking me through all the amenities they had to offer. They also provided local area maps with all the main attractions and let me know how best to navigate what I wanted to do which helped quite a bit with planning how I spent my time.

I love staying here. Very clean, genuinely friendly staffs and very good food. Every day it is a different ryokan meals.very delicious too.

Incredible location in a very quiet part of town. Lots of temples in the direct vicinity. We were able to participate in temple rituals in the morning, and dinner and breakfast were both delicious.

The meal service was the best experience I had in Japan, also traditional. The staff is hyper kind. Is the best Ryokan experience I had. Definitely will be back!

Hotel Mikasa se nachází 10 minut jízdy bezplatnou kyvadlovou dopravou od vlakového nádraží Kintetsu Nara a nabízí venkovní lázně a jídelnu s krásným výhledem na Naru. Parkování na místě je zdarma. What an experience, staying at Mikasa is my version of heaven. The staff were sweet, the breakfast and dinner were so enjoyable, 8-courses of a tasting menu meant that every night all our relatives were jealous of the pictures we were sending home. Our food preferences were adjusted for, and the bar at the end of the night was to look out over the city light. 4 nights wasn’t enough the enjoy this experiment. Public bath was great, and my mum really liked talking to yuki now!
