This felt like less of a hotel stay and more of an experience as a whole. If you are exploring Nara I would recommend taking at least a day to just enjoy this hotel stay. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff who helped us with every little thing, from taking our luggage to ordering a taxi for our departure. We were served luxurious meals for dinner and breakfast in our room, by staff who set our table and made our bed. The location was magical with beautiful nature and deers roaming around outside. They had an amazing natural hot spring bath as well. Would warmly recommend this place.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk. We spent 14 days in Japan, in multiple cities...this was our favourite city and the hotel was a big part of that. The staff were so welcoming. The rooms were amazing. The private onsen on the roof was fantastic. We will be staying here again without question. A short walk to the temples, deer parks and places to eat and shop. The most amazing coffee house (Norr) is less than a block away.

They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The facilities were amazing as well, beautiful, clean and rich in culture. The room was comfortable, the private onsen was free to use and really beautiful. The chef special dinner and breakfast was delicious, some of the best food we had while in Japan. Well done to this wonderful place, I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Nara. Remember to have dinner there!

The host was absolutely lovely and very welcoming, I wish we had stayed more than one night! The breakfast was amazing as well!

The food is great, don’t forget to order vegan meals if you are vegan or veggie because they do serve meat and fish at this monastery. The location is great, the grounds are immense and very beautiful especially at night. Sleeping on a futon is not my thing but apart from that the rooms are comfortable and the monks are very nice.

Hotel New Wakasa se nachází 12 minut chůze od vlakového nádraží Kintetsu Nara a nabízí pokoje zařízené v japonském stylu, včetně podlah pokrytých typickými rohožemi tatami z tkané slámy. The quadruple room with private onsen was amazing, the decor is very calming, and we really enjoyed the outdoor onsen experience. Everything was great. I found the bed comfortable however my partner not as much so I guess it can vary. The coffee in the room was good and the soft drink, beer and cookies were a nice touch.

Tsukihitei se nachází v lese Kasugayama Primeval, který je na seznamu světového dědictví UNESCO. Nádherné místo, úžasná snídaně a večeře v japonském stylu.

Ryokan Asukasou at the entrancne of Nara park se nachází v destinaci Nara a poskytuje ubytování s sdíleným loungem, neplaceným soukromým parkovištěm a terasou. Nara vlakové nádraží je 1,8 km daleko. This is a family run ryokon and every member of the staff was exceedingly friendly. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was amazing.

Hotel Mikasa se nachází 10 minut jízdy bezplatnou kyvadlovou dopravou od vlakového nádraží Kintetsu Nara a nabízí venkovní lázně a jídelnu s krásným výhledem na Naru. Parkování na místě je zdarma. We had a truly wonderful stay at the Ryokan, the staff were so lovely and accommodating. The place was so peaceful. We got a room with a private outdoor bath, and it was SO wonderful. The room was zen, and I was surprised how well we slept on the futon. We also got robes to wear, and slippers. We also had a private dinner and breakfast, which was quite a feast! It is very traditional Japanese food, some very fishy (if you like that). Everything was perfect. And, they also had a shuttle to and from the train station. Perfect!
