Boasting open-air hot spring baths, a heated indoor pool and beautiful Japanese gardens, Senjukaku offers traditional Japanese-style accommodation that has a historic charm. My husband and I spent a night here to experience Japanese onsen for the first time and see snow monkeys in the area. We went with a traditional Japanese style room option and had no regrets. The room was fantastic. Saying spacious would be an understatement. Very large living area, separate sit down area and balcony with beautiful view. The large entryway, washroom, separate shower with bath and separate powder room. The room has AC and we were very warm despite the snowstorm outside. We had the means to make tea in the room with a beautiful tea set and there was a coffee bar downstairs. The room also had a TV. For both meals we went with the Japanese options and the staff was very helpful and accommodating to help us and explain every dish. There was even a small guide included with each meal outlining what is being served for each course. The facilities were outstanding as well. We opted for a private onsen and it was simply magical with the snow outside. There is a swimming pool as well that my husband used. If you forgot your swimwear you could get one there for a small fee. There is a small gift shop downstairs (they accept the cards as a payment option) with local sweets and small souvenirs. The fact that you got collected from the train station with a minibus and dropped off after your stay was extremely convenient as well and we didn't need to take the local bus. We were very close to the snow monkey park. We had a fantastic stay and we couldn't ask for a better experience.

Yudanaka Onsen Yamazakiya se nachází v atraktivní lokalitě ve čtvrti Shibu Onsen v destinaci Jamanouči. Opičí park Džigokudani se nachází 3 km daleko, Lyžařský areál Ryuoo 12 km a Zoo Suzaka 24 km. The kindness and hospitality of the host. Akira was super helpful and caring during my stay. He helped out in everything I need, even helped me to call to see if there's any instant film around. I ordered dinner which is not in my plan, food was well prepared and tasted fresh and yummy. The next day Akira drove me to the Monkey park, after that he went to pick fresh bamboo shoots from the mountain, which is the fresh food I ate the other night. Last but the most helpful mama, she so strong and kind, picked me up from the monkey park and helped caught the train back to town. Overall a perfect stay here and one of my best memories in this trip.

Tawaraya se nachází 5 minut chůze od vlakového nádraží Yudanaka a nabízí ubytování v japonském stylu s bezplatným Wi-Fi a TV s plochou obrazovkou. Very tranquil atmosphere. Cozy and beautifully kept ryokan with a gorgeous outside bath available for private use. This is an especially nice place for a couple. The staff are kind and helpful and they speak English.

Minshuku Miyama se nachází v destinaci Jamanouči a nabízí pokoje s výhledem na hory. Jen 3 km odtud je Opičí park Džigokudani. Původní dřevěný ryokan s koupelnou a záchodem na chodbě. Pokoj byl prostorný, ale byl slyšet každý pohyb z vedlejsiho pokoje nebo i chodby. Je zde krásný venkovnu onsen a možnost parkování

Daymaruya Ryokan nabízí termální koupele a ubytování v tradičním japonském stylu s bezplatným kabelovým připojením k internetu. Our hosts were really friendly. They took us to the monkey park and get us from the Yamanouchi station as well. They have private and public onsen as well. The rooms are warm and comfortable.

Shibu Hotel se nachází 8 minut jízdy bezplatnou kyvadlovou dopravou od vlakového nádraží Yudanaka a nabízí volně přístupné termální koupele, společné vnitřní i venkovní termální koupele a tradiční... I really liked the athmosphere of it. It felt like traditional Japan. We had half board that allowed us to try japanese food beyond what we would dare to order in a restaurant. The staff was exceptional!

Suminoyu se nachází ve čtvrti Shibu s horkými prameny a nabízí vnitřní i venkovní termální koupele. Na požádání jsou k dispozici masáže a pro větší relaxaci je k dispozici také vana na nohy. The staff is lovely, the service excellent, and the food delicious. We went off-season so it was very quiet and peaceful to stroll around the little town and visit the public onsen with the yukata and shoes provided by the ryokan. The best one was the bath in the hotel though. They also offer a free shuttle service for the station and monkey park as well. We felt pampered and well taken care of at all times.

Onyado Hishiya Torazo se nachází v oblasti horkých pramenů Shibu a nabízí ubytování v japonském stylu. The staff, the location and the private-onsen. Breakfast is typical and good and the room is beautiful and comfy.

Malý 6pokojový zájezdní hostinec s možností stravování v ryokanu a útulným interiérem se nachází jen pár minut jízdy od opičího parku Jigokudani a 8 minut chůze od vlakového nádraží Yudanaka. What I liked the most was being able to be in such a lovely place with such lovely hosts. The couple that owns the ryokan have been nothing but nice since before you even arrive. The dinner and breakfast were out of this world, and the onsen is the perfect touch after a day out enjoying the area. They offer to pick you up from the train station, drop you off when you check out and even take you to the Monkey Park. Thank you very much for making my stay in Yudakana so special!
