高野山 宿坊 恵光院 -Koyasan Syukubo Ekoin Temple- nabízí japonské ubytování v 1000 let starém buddhistickém chrámu s krásnou zahradou a Wi-Fi zdarma. Nemám ani slov jak úžasný zážitek to byl. Ubytování bylo nad očekávání - dostali jsme ještě lepší pokoj než jsme měli mít. A hlavně pro lidi, kteří se zajímají o duchovní růst je to skvělé, klidné místo. Děkuji

高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- se nachází v destinaci Kojasan a nabízí pokoje s výhledem do zahrady. Jen 38 km odtud je Kishi Station. Everything. The temple is very peaceful, beautiful, the room was exactly what I was expecting. Such a great experience. Would come back to stay more days for sure. The monks are very kind and helpful. Love it

Guest House Takiyoshi se nachází v destinaci Hongú a nabízí pokoje s klimatizací a sdílenou koupelnou. This hotel is run by the kindest couple, and I’m still thinking about how good dinner and breakfast were. Some of the best meals of my trip! You can also order lunch for the trail. The onsen was wonderful after a long day hiking. Room was on the 3rd floor and very quiet, it was compact and simple, very clean, with everything you might need, including yukatas for dinner and towels for the onsen. Shared toilets and sinks in the hall were never busy; there are two communal showers inside the onsen. I asked about laundry and they took mine and washed it for me within a few hours! The bus stop to Shingu or Hongu was a one-minute walk from the hotel. Yunomine Onsen was such a unique town, I feel lucky to have stayed here and enjoyed such great hospitality!

It was such an amazing, unique experience. The monks are most welcoming and accommodating. Ryokan style rooms with futons, which can be a bit hard, as expected (part of the experience). The place looks incredible, still attains so much history and ancient culture within its walls. It was incredible to be a part of that for a bit and attending the ceremonies was the highlight of our stay.

Minshuku Sumiya se nachází na výhodném místě ve čtvrti Kawayu Onsen v destinaci Tanabe. Great place to stay if you’re hiking or traveling around the area. The host was super friendly, the and the room and sheets were clean. We also dug our own onsen in the river just outside - but there’s also a public outdoor onsen by the river as well as an indoor one in the minshuku. I also learned that “Minshuku” refers to a type of traditional, family-run guesthouse or lodging. Staying at a minshuku typically involves a more personal and homely experience, with the hosts often preparing homemade meals (usually Japanese-style), and the atmosphere is usually casual and friendly - I think it was all those things.

Parking right in front, very clean and the food vegetarian food was wonderful. The temple itself is beautiful, and I highly recommend the morning prayer service which is partially in English. There was a female monk that chanted beautifully! Make sure you check in as early as possible to get the full experience.

Located in Koyasan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 高野山 宿坊 常喜院 -Koyasan Shukubo Jokiin- offers free private parking. All rooms include a flat-screen TV. Krásný zážitek z buddhistického ceremoniálu. Výborná večeře i snídaně. Krásné ubytování v tradičním japonském stylu.

Hotel Kirinosato Takahara se nachází pouhé 2 minuty chůze od poutních cest Kumano Kodo zapsaných na seznamu světového dědictví a nabízí venkovní i vnitřní termální lázně. I love the design of the room which is very cozy and modern. The location is right at the center of Takahara and looking out the window, we can appreciate the whole Mountain View. I also love the foods. The host is very kind and accommodating that they agree to help us ship a package which is outside the service they listed to provide.
