The breakfast was poor to start with, the hotel was quite crowded and we had to wait to be seated 2 out of the 4 days to eat breakfast. On one occasion, we had to eat standing up until we were seated. Some staff was very polite, other staff was extremely curt, borderline rude. The room size was on the small side but it was clean enough, better use of space could be made in the rooms. The location was great, cleanliness was very good.

Trams are cheap but finding tickets can be tricky in places.
Research thouroughly before you go so you see what you really want to for as less money as possible!

Plan a tour guide to experience the beauty and history of Rome. Schedule a separate trip to St. Peter Basilica. Be early to avoid crowds. Mass officiated by Pope is scheduled only every Wednesday. Wear comfortable outfits and always bring bottled water.

Roma is a great city, a lot of history, a lot to see and a lot to walk!
Great to do a waking tour, but also a good idea to use public transportation to get the main historic places. Good food, a lot of tourists.

I really like history and historical cities.
Rome has always been the city I wanted to see.
It was a privilege to see it on the occasion of the honeymoon.
Therefore, it has gained more meaning.
It was not enough to see the unique beauties of Rome for 2.5 days. I am planning to make a longer trip to Rome in the future.

We spent five days in Rome and loved it so much that we have decided to return next year. Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a small water ...that you can refill at the public water fountains located all over the city. Take your time walking from sight to sight and discover the neighborhoods. We felt safe and took the advise of carrying all valuables in front of us...no backpack. I used a Thule Subterra 2, 5L crossbody bag.
We stayed in the Monti area, steps from the Roman Forum/colosseum and enjoyed delicious pizza at Forno Da Milvio. there are many other food options in this bustling neighborhood. Have fun!

If you are looking for a city full of historic surprises,...
If you are looking for a city full of historic surprises, then Rome is a must. So many places to visit and see, around every corner there is a new place to discover and the cathedrals are plenty and amazing. It is not just the big attractions that makes this such a great city, but the fact that the historic places are everywhere and around you. We are definitely not archaeologic/history family, but everyone was fascinated including 2 teenagers. Rome can be crowded and there are very long queues at the main attractions, but you can see so much from the outside that we didn't go into every place. Food was great everywhere we went and will visit Rome again
The hotel is beautiful. The bed was the only one I slept in a month in Italy that didn’t leave me sore the next morning (I love Italy, but am used to American beds). The staff were gracious. Above all, the hotel is in a fantastic, real neighborhood, steps away from the best place for pizza in the city, Pizzaria Ostiense, and some of the best gelato in town, Gelateria La Romana, and tons of cool bars and club. It’s also a quick drive to the airport from that end of the city, so it was the perfect place for my last night in Rome.
I loved everything about this place. Leaving the property and coming back felt like home. It was quiet yet not right in Rome but accessible to everything and I loved being in the Trastevere neighborhood. Out of the 2 weeks I stayed in Italy and I stayed in many places this was my favorite. Between the terrace, the location, the comfort of the bed and the blackout shades it was just an incredible stay. Fausta the owner is super friendly and accommodating. She even had some amazing desserts in the lounge room.
Beautiful spacious room, so nice to come back to the room after spending the day exploring the city. The bed is also very comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us ideas what to do, transport to take etc. The breakfast was excellent! With staff clearing your plate and cutlery and giving you new ones after each helping.
Also the hotel is just minutes away from Rome Termini so it is easy to go take a bus or train to everywhere that you want to visit in Rome and Italy!
The staff here has the best customer service I've ever received in my entire life. They welcomed us like we've been long-time friends. They showed us a map of Rome with places to see and eat. This was the first time staying in a "boutique" hotel and was an amazing experience. The rooms were clean and nice with everything in working order. It is walking distance from the Vatican City and an easy bus ride into the busy tourist areas. Check out this hotel if you plan on staying in Rome.
Location is awesome! Perfect for those travelling in Italy by train because of proximity to the Roma Termini station and relatively close to main attractions in Rome. Hop On/Hop off stop is right across the street from the hotel as well as the stop for the buses to 2 different airports (7 euros only!!). Last but not least - breakfast. I loved it and it is as good as everyone writes here. I will stay in this hotel next time i am in Rome. PS: The bed and pillows were really nice
The location could not be improved. Everything you could wish to see in Rome is within walking distance.
The staff are friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and neat. The hotel is quiet - remarkably so, given it’s central location.
The breakfast is nothing special, but that is normal in Italy. The coffee and pastries are good - because for an Italian that is what counts. If you want an egg white omelette with non gluten toast you really are in the wrong country.
We stayed at the hotel in Rome for 6 days. Comparing the other hotel I stayed in Firenze, of course, there is a difference between a 5-star and a 4-star, but the satisfaction level is so high that NH Collection is considered the best choice for my trip to Italy. Also we especially appreciate the professional and friendly response of staff Febrovia at the reception desk. If I travel to Italy in the future, I have no doubt that I will choose NH Collection again.
This was simply a fantastic hotel choice! The location is perfect, walking distance to lots of main attractions, the room was very clean and confortable and on top of that all were the hosts. This is a family run hotel, and they are all very kind, always eager to help and to explain what to visit, where to go in Rome or Italy! Super kind! We felt at home ! Coming back to Rome and of course, coming back to this lovely hotel!!
The location of the Hotel being walking distance from Rome Termini train station. The room was clean with the most comfortable bed and pillows we had throughout Italy. Staff were very friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was very nice with a range of cold meats, breads, croissants fruit, cereal and cakes. The location was also an easy walk to all the sites. Close to nice restaurants too.
This is a very nice hotel in Rome. The location is close to the Metro and not far from Termini Station. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good too. It’s on a side street so it’s very quiet. There is an excellent restaurant across the street and a few more close by. The best food in the world is in Italy. We highly recommend this hotel.
We stayed here twice on our recent trip to Italy. One night before a cruise and 3 nights after the 10 night cruise. Gabriel, Flo and staff were amazingly helpful and friendly, and provided the best service we received from hotel staff during our 4 week holiday. Great location near Roma Termini station and walking distance to most attractions.
Flawless location right in the heart of Rome with all the main sites essentially equidistant from the hotel. The room was very quiet for being in such a lively area as well which was great. Very comfortable bed as well which was a great bonus since the other stays we had in Italy tended to have much firmer / uncomfortable beds.
This hotel is absolutely wonderful. It is close to Termini Station and an easy walk to many attractions. The staff here is great. They are the friendliest we have met here in Italy. The breakfast buffet cannot be beat. I plan on coming to Rome next year and will stay here again! This hotel is a true gem!
We stayed here for 1 night in Rome before flying back home. The hotel was in a really useful location, just 5-10 mins walk from Rome Termini for the train to the airport. We did the same last time we visited Italy.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming. You can leave luggage here once you have checked out.
Hotel was located within easy reach of Roma Termini station and walking distance to all major attractions and restaurants.
Luigi was so friendly and very helpful and made us feel very welcome, not only to the hotel but Rome, giving a good representation of Italy. Would definitely stay again when next in Rome.
Convenient location.
A rare (in Italy) small balcony (nice to have a little outdoor spot to take in a bit of fresh air) Contemporary, clean decor.
A reasonable amount of surface/storage space compared to some of the hotels we experienced in Rome
Decent value for the money at this time of the year in Rome
The hotel so calm, room is clean, and it has balcony window, however it’s small.
Everything are around; groceries, cafes, and Pizza restaurants. Rome terminal station is 10 minutes walking, so you may easy travel all around Italy.
If I will come again to Rome, I’ll definitely stay there.
I have been to Rome for work and visit few times. This is one of the best Hotel I stayed in terms of location and access.
We recommended to our collogues and partner company in Italy to suggest this Hotel for any booking.
Staff team is so supportive.
All the best.

Beautiful boutique hotel right in the centre of Rome. Excellent modern facilities, well appointed rooms and large bathrooms which is a rarity in Italy! Excellent location for sightseeing and also a shopping destination too. I highly recommend the hotel.
Very short overnight stay at Kolbe hotel on our way out of Italy and Rome. Nice duplex room that the kids enjoyed staying at. Breakfast was good as well. Location was great too, it's right outside of the Roman Forum.
