The architecture was breathtaking. We felt we were in many parts of Europe. Montmorency Falls are a must see, absolutely spectacular. Notre Dame Basillica another amazing place to see. The guided tour of Chateau Frontenac is not to be missed, a really informative, beautiful experience. Take the funicular to Le Petit Champlain and soak in the oldest street in Quebec. The Parmesan restaurant, Bistro Hortus and Cafe Buade are wonderful places to eat. We will hold this trip in our hearts forever.

Gem of Canada.
Gem of Canada. Absolutely recommended place to go - especially if you have not been to Europe, or have been and missing it.
Old town is definitely a must for a walk and eat-outs (Aux Anciens Canadiens, Restaurant Sagamite), plus the park Plains of Abraham.

We took various tours and they were all wonderful.
We took various tours and they were all wonderful. The people are friendly and every meal we had was amazing. The topography took some getting used to, but it made for beautiful views. The Alphonse restaurant is so good we went three times. The night-time ghost tour was fun and the tour to Montmorency Falls, etc., was a highlight. Sadly, the tours of the Morrin Centre weren’t available the days we were there, but the library is worth the cost of a day ticket (especially for fans of murder mysteries)!

Lots to explore people friendly and patient with us fools who did not continue our French after college. Food and servers very good-you won’t leave hungry. Very walkable felt safe in areas around the hotel. Lots of smiling faces. Be kind to your servers and tip as though you are at home. The exchange rate is not equal and it doesn’t hurt to e a little more generous. It is really being kind to our northern neighbors.

Quebec is the most beautiful city in North America, in my opinion. The older part is compact, and pedestrian-friendly. I suggest planning to park your vehicle on arrival, and walk! I was pleased to see that Quebec has improved the riverside expressway connecting the bridges over the St. Lawrence to downtown, and has added miles of riverside parks, bikeways, bus transit stations, and public artwork along the way. My only disappointment is that the Museum of Fine Arts has been largely closed for renovation of the main galleries.

The location was perfect for the 2 nights I reserved.
City buses where on the same street as the hotel location, very affordable way to go visit the old Québec city.
Get ready to do a lot of walking and sightseeing
This hotel is located directly across from the Chateau Frontenac, the best location for exploring the charming old town. I parked in the city hall (hotel centre ville) parking garage just a couple blocks away--not sure if it's the cheapest but it's the most conveniently located relative to the hotel. The room was spacious, clean, and well appointed. I was not aware they offer complimentary coffee near the reception desk in the mornings. Lovely staff. I will be staying here again next time I am in the city.
We loved the location of this lovely hotel in Quebec City’s Old Town. We were close to shops and restaurants and a few blocks away from the funicular. The staff at the hotel were welcoming and helpful. Special kudos to Yan, the night clerk who was very informative and helped us with the automatic wine machine! Our room was very comfortable. We plan to return at the end of our trip.
The help desk on PHONE was very accommodating to the request. We had an issue, and the front desk person promptly shifted us to a new room, which felt like an upgrade of room. The hotel is 11 minutes walk to the old town and also close to a bus stop wherein you can take Bus 800. A small pantry with oven, fridge, and microwave exist which was handy to warm take-away food.
Outstanding, friendly and helpful staff in a clean, well-appointed, easily accessed modern hotel with comfortable rooms which have all the amenities one could hope for, all in an exceptional location close to the main attractions and loads of restaurants make this, in our opinion, a hotel well worth seeking out if you want to stay in old Quebec City. Highly recommended.
We had 2 junior suits - the size was very comfortable and also the interieur was very nice - very art affine. The location of the hotel is in the middle of the old town - so we made all our visits per walking - which was extremly nice and confrotable .. For the car was was a valet parking available - also a good service. Personal was very friendly and supportive.
This is THEE historic hotel of Canada. To me, this property just screams C A N A D A. It's perfectly located to enjoy all the most amazing sites in old Quebec City. The property did not disappoint and fulfilled a bucket list dream of mine.
One of the most amazing things was getting an Old Fashion drink that was made with Buffalo Trace bourbon (our favorite!).
The hotel and rooms are beautiful, very tastefully renovated and well maintained. The staff is incredibly dedicated to making guests feel comfortable and helping guests when needed. This is a very special place, well worth staying at. By the way, the hotel is very well located in Old Quebec, within walking distance of all major attractions.
Location is amazing - right in the middle of Quebec Cities' old town, next to the biggest attractions. Doesn't get much better than this. The inside of the hotel and room was old, but cute and functional, nothing to complain for us since we only spend the night's there anyway and went exploring during the day.
Location of the hotel is fantastic as it is a couple of minutes walk into old Quebec. All restaurants and need to see locations are literally around the corner. We had a high floor (17th) with river view which gives you a magnificent view over the old town. With sunny weather you even could see Levis.
Absolutely lovely hotel in the perfect location for Quebec City Old town . I was upgraded on arrival to a room with a view of Le Chateau Frontenac .Large modern room , really clean and comfortable and the staff were all amazing. . I was so glad that I decided to stay here .
Really lovely hotel with all sorts of little, unexpected touches, such as an umbrella in the room. Very well located near restaurants, galleries, the old town and the trains station which is only minutes walk away. Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet.
Beautiful hotel! Historical place with a modern, boutique hotel feeling. Excellent location in old Quebec City.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful (especially Rebecca)!
Room was as pictured. Beds were extremely comfortable!
All of the staff spoke both French and English which made my trip more seamless. Hotel was centrally located to everything in Old Québec which made everything worth seeing within walking distance. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
Almost everything good about the hotel. But old but still good. Walking distance to bus stops. No 800 goes to old quebec. Better, buy daily bus pass online and use it to avoid parking issues in old quebec downtown.
Smart hotel in lower part of Old Quebec
Easy walking distance from cruise terminal when arriving by cruise ship
Very good location for walking around the old town - night or day
Smart, modern rooms
The hotel are very pretty and very close to the Quebec Old Town (with parking). But our room doesn’t have any heater in the bathroom and so cold especially in the morning (-8 outside in early morning)
What a lovely surprise. This hotel is directly in the hub of Old Town Quebec. Staff super helpful and sweet. Room was beautiful. Completely remodeled and updated.
Right across the street from Hotel Frontenac. Right in the center of Old Town. Close to everything and in the same building of the Quebec Tourism center.
