Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado.
Great history especially if one is a Shakespeare aficionado. I was drawn more to the architecture and history as well as the walks along the canal. Also, theater is great, of course. We were unable to see a Shakespeare play, but instead saw "English" at the Royal Shakespeare Company's newest venue "The Other Place", a facility established by the RSC after a top staffer shook things up a bit in 2016 and suggested being more relevant

Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a beautiful town. There are lots of green spaces offering respite from the lovely shopping areas. Eating out is a treat. We're vegan and had lots of choice. The Plantarium cafe is a must visit. Lots of reference to the history of Stratford and its connection to Shakespeare add to the charm. We only went for a short break but it's somewhere we'd definitely go back to.

I cannot but express my concern that in the light of the fire, Booking .com did not carefully that potential guests had been informed and that the use of technology to look after potential guests interests was most inappropriate.

Lovely place to spend a weekend, the river and canal basin area are very pretty, loads of really good restaurants, places to stay and things to do. The Shakespeare birthday celebrations/parade is great (mid April). We did the marathon there and that's a great event if you are keen on running.

Stratford upon Avon is great for a short trip and easy to get to from London or anywhere from the Midlands. Particularly nice in spring. There are options for boat hires along the river, or go on a boating trip with someone else steering. Lots of little shops to explore. The big draw is the RSC. So nice to take in a play there with a pre-theatre dinner and explore the town.

Guest house was in a very good location a short walk from the areas of Stratford upon Avon that a visitor would want to see.
The premises it self was very clean and comfortable. Facilities were all that you would expect ie large double shower and a king sized bed (requested)
The point that made it exceptionally pleasant was the welcome and friendliness of the host Tamara who provides a breakfast that would be hard to match in a hotel costing twice the price.
We thought overall the guest house met our requirements in all ways.
Staff very helpful and patient, even a small accident in our room with a mug of coffee being spilt on the Duvet. Rooms are very spacious very quiet, more so facing the rear of the building overlooking the gardens/tennis court.
Breakfast was plentiful and highly recommended.
I just wish my wife and I had more time to pay a visit to the National Trust Charlecote house opposite the hotel?
There's also ample parking, and I believe there's an external plug point if you wish to charge your electric vehicle?
The location could not be better: right in the middle of the town and close to everything that may interest a tourist or a theatregoer. Like many old buildings in Stratford, the hotel extends back from the street a good distance, which helps make rooms quiet. Breakfast was well cooked (if you want a cooked breakfast) and offered many attractive options, including fresh fruit. Staff worked hard to keep rooms clean and tidy - and supplied with tea-making materials. I enjoyed my stay very much.
The location of this guesthouse is perfect for exploring Stratford Upon Avon. Our room had everything we needed including a lovely comfy bed and a hot drinks tray. The bedroom and en-suite were decorated to a high standard and everything looked fresh and spotless. There were lots of breakfast options and the cooked breakfast was delicious. Our host, Tamara, is the sweetest most helpful person you could ask for. We enjoyed our stay so much, we stayed an extra night.
Everything. We loved it all. The food was delicious and the staff were very on the ball with my lactose intolerance. It wasn't cheap but worth every penny. The room and bathroom were large, clean and comfortable. The hotel stands in it's own, extensive and stunning, grounds. The surrounding area is also beautiful and lovely Stratford upon Avon is close by. All the staff we encountered were very helpful, friendly and appeared happy in their work.
The location was fabulous, situated right in the centre of all the atmosphere in Stratford Upon Avon. The style and decor of the rooms and hotel was quaint and perfect if you love the historic Tudor Vibes and we ate there on the evening, the food is lovely. I was worried about the parking situations as they have no on site parking but we parked at the local multi story which was easy and reasonably priced for 24 hours.
We booked a super deluxe room in the coach house and it was amaizing. The bed was king size and so comfortable and the character of the room was lovely. The staff were exeptional especially Natalie on bookings, reception and restaurant staff. The hotel was clean and nicely presented and is ideal for walking into Stratford upon Avon Town. We also used the spa facilities which were lovely.
Lovely property, amazing grounds and great locality to the town of Stratford upon Avon.
The hotel offers plenty of facilities including an on-site spa and treatment centre.
The rooms were tidy and clean with a generous bathroom. Breakfast had plenty of options.
The spa treatments were excellent and the sauna and steam room were the best I have been in in a while.
Stratford Limes was a nice place to stay overnight. We had a corner room that was quiet. It was nice to have a bathtub and a small sofa to relax after a day full of sightseeing in Oxford and driving. The breakfast was great, and the service was awesome. There was free parking in the back of the hotel which was perfect.
Staff were very helpful but I got the impression that they (like everywhere else) were a little understaffed. There was a Literary Festival there the same weekend (in the hotel) and it stretched them a little far. This seemed to be a problem all over Stratford, particularly off the Tourist Trail.
Location of hotel is amazing, in the center of old town within a five minute walk of most attractions. Room was big and warmly decorated, breakfast was delicious and the dining room and parlor utterly beautiful. Staff was friendly, warm and attentive at all times. Perfect experience.
As the hotel is outside the centre of Stratford upon Avon it was very good having a bus stop outside the hotel to get into the town without the worry of parking the car.
The breakfast was adequate & nicely cook. The stay was very good value for the cost.
We really enjoyed our stay here, we have stayed here previously and is a very clean, comfortable hotel and only a few minutes walk from the centre of Stratford Upon Avon and parking is available just across the road from the hotel at a discounted rate.
Lovely venue in great location. Right next to Charlecote Park and with a bus stop outside to get to Stratford Upon Avon. the staff were so friendly and helpful. We didn’t eat at the hotel but there’s a restaurant and bar area. Highly recommend
The room was super magical one of the beat unique rooms I have stayed in the UK with reasonable price, the details were fascinating, the staff was friendly and very welcoming, the hotel has every interesting historical background.
It was a lovely property with much help from the hosts to make everything go smoothly
It’s a great location for seeing Stratford upon Avon. And the hop on hop off bus stop was right outside the door
Friendly staff, amazing location for all of what Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer. Continental breakfast offering good.
Plenty of ways into the hotel depending on what direction you're coming from.
