Beautiful birds singing all day but so quiet in the Villa. The cafe was up high off the main thoroughfare but was fun dining and watching the locals pass by with their colourful vehicles

Greatest place I stayed at in Indonesia by far, the staff was out of this world, its a small place close to Boa Beach (the best surf I've ever seen). The staff was helpful in every way (renting bike, restaurant recommendations). Wifi was actually fast unexpectedly, but due to storms electricity and service can shutdown in the entire area, but that's not their fault. I think this is the best place in Rote if you are going to surf or explore the island. I will be back some day.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay with Laurence in his beautiful home. The views were amazing! Laurence cooked such a delicious dinner and we had a lovely evening of story telling and getting travel tips around Flores. Wish we would have stayed longer!

This is a once in a lifetime type of accomodation. The house is a real piece of art, open to the jungle. Everything is made and designed in very good taste, yet combained with pure nature. The house is very charming and romantic and the views are crazy. We were there for 4 nights as part of our honeymoon and had the best time. Yet, it is important to keep in mind that the house is not vey private because the way it is designed, but it is part of the magic. Take at least 3-4 nights for your stay here. There is a lot to see and to experience. Laurent is a very cool guy and a great host. Thank you!

Pot of gold – 30 mins drive from Riung Modern clean room with ensuite, aircon and comfy bed. But the owners are the real gems. Maria is so kind and hospitable, and her meals are plentiful and delicious. We spent a day on the beach, and she arranged fresh coconut drinks for us – no charge. They welcomed us to their house, which is located in the centre of Moni. The house is lovely, clean and comfy rooms and with everything you need. They really helped us to organise transport, what to visit around the area and places to eat, drink and listen lo live music.
