Staying at Sweet Home Tourist Rest turned out to be one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Sri Lanka. It’s rare to find a place that offers both great value and a truly personal touch , but this one does exactly that. Instead of just a room, we had an entire private apartment, including a comfortable living room, which gave us so much space to relax. It was quiet, clean, and located in a peaceful part of town, making it easy to rest and recharge between our adventures. And considering the price, it felt like an absolute steal. What really made this stay unforgettable were the authentic experiences arranged by the hosts. Nilukshan helped us explore some of Sri Lanka’s most iconic sites with thoughtfully organized tours, the Wilpattu safari was stunning, and our visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale gave us a deep appreciation for the country’s culture and history. Everything was well-timed, smooth, and stress-free. We also had the chance to join a Sri Lankan cooking class with Malsha, which ended up being one of our favorite memories. The class was fun, hands-on, and filled with flavor, we left not just with full stomachs, but with recipes and techniques we can take home with us. If you’re looking for more than just a place to sleep, if you want comfort, authenticity, and connection this is the place. Can’t recommend it highly enough!

The beds and all the amenities were of the highest standard, providing a truly relaxing stay. The staff were very professional, helpful, and respectful throughout. We felt completely at ease, with a sense of freedom that made it feel just like home. Highly recommended!

The location was peaceful, yet close to everything we wanted to see. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway! A big thank you to the staff at Mandara Holiday Home for arranging the amazing city tour and Wilpattu Safari. Very good location, you can ride the bike to temples. It was very clean and spacious that I was stunned with the price because it was affordable. We had the whole place to ourselves and aside from the complementary breakfast, they can also prepare your choice of lunch and dinner. I woke up very early in the morning to catch the sunrise and read a book at the roof deck it was very relaxing.
