We had an incredible stay at Mt Hut Lodge! The accommodation offers stunning views and a truly relaxing atmosphere. Jo and Butch, the owners, were wonderful hosts, providing warm and welcoming hospitality that made our stay even more enjoyable. Our room was clean and comfortable, the Lodge had well-maintained amenities, and a great pool to unwind after a day of exploring. We highly recommend Mt Hut Lodge to anyone looking for a getaway and can’t wait to return for another visit!

They even provided free towels for the local thermal hot springs as well as free washer and dryer access. The little apartment was very clean and well set up for our family. They provided a free cot for our baby. The service was excellent! They were incredibly friendly and helpful in giving recommendations for local food.

Stayed for one night to break up the drive from Franz Josef to Lake Tekapo, and had the most wonderful time. A very spacious property for a family of three. The house has everything you need and more - very comfy. The location is lovely and peaceful, the views are stunning, and we discovered very nice short walks around the village. Honestly wish we spent more time there - we love the quiet, and this place has plenty of it. Communication with the host was super easy. Remember to stock up on food on the way as there are no cafes or shops in the village. Hopefully we'll be back one day to explore the area further and to enjoy the peace and the comfort.
