Such a beautiful spot, exceptional furniture, layout and design. The stay was very nice. A very scenic and special place. They offered us a complementary boat ride through the backwaters, high tea and cookies. The spa is also really nice, with awesome views.

Set in the most beautiful location, Fragrant Nature resort is fantastic. Wonderful staff who couldn’t help enough, great food and just so blissfully peaceful.

Beautiful hotel the the most wonderful staff ! Big thank you to Shirley George on reception who was very professional and went above and beyond to assist us in all our requests and arranged all our transfers ! A very lovely lady ! Fabulous hotel , lovely clean room , good location . Outdoor pool an added bonus . The best Ayurvedic massage ever, special thanks to Sneha and Anoob for their professionalism and the passion they display for there work , excellent! And to the consultant Dra Nirmithy Thampan for her valuable advice and treatment recommendation.

A lovely peaceful place to stay if you are looking for complete relaxation. We had a lovely big room with a balcony overlooking the lake. Beautifully kept gardens. There were several types of rooms within the property, villas , studios and pool villas. Huge property. Beautiful lake views. Lovely pool.

if you’re looking for something off the beaten track that’s low key but nice this is the place for you. as there are few rooms the supper was chosen in advance by the cook and was delicious. very special. the manager, Robinson, is very attentive and wants you to have a lovely time. the lake views are lovely. if you want international hotel this isn’t for you. if you want something lovely with a local feel this is it.

Lovely location with hotel having river one side and lake the other. Swimming pool that had recently been built with shower block was nice to have. Peaceful location and could do kayaking, river and lake trips that hotel organised from the hotel. Staff very friendly, helpful and organised tuk tuk to get alcohol and taxi to railway station for us as hotel is not near a town. F&B Manager and Hotel Manager helpful and spoke good English. Chef also adapted spice levels in dishes. Range of cuisines available. Covered open air eating area right by river. Also BBQ areas and other eating areas in gardens for events such as birthdays, family get togethers. Great to see all the wildlife from the hotel especially the kites and kingfishers. Also watching the fishermen, tour boats passing, sunrise and sunsets from outside on the lawn. Hotel offers packages so check out their website. The entrepreneurial hotel owner was very keen to further develop the resort and listened to our feedback. Really enjoyed our chill down stay.

B'Canti hotel boasts a private beach just outside of the hotel grounds which is perfect for swimming and seeing the sunset. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and assisted us with any queries including booking our taxi on the day of departure. Both of the rooms we stayed in included all necessary amenities and were very clean. Would recommend to anyone staying in Varkala!
