We stayed in the guard tower room, which is a bit different from most of the rooms in the hotel. It's right above the castle gate, with windows on 3 sides, but since the walls are 70cm thick and made of stone, it's very well insulated from noise. The conveniences/electrical system were slightly constrained by the fact that we were surrounded by thick stone, but they nonethless did a great job of making a beautiful, comfortable, and engagingly quirky room. Breakfast was also exceptional, with some of the best bread and pastry I've had in Switzerland.

Okouzlující hotel Fassbind ve stylu horské chaty se nachází na klidném místě v Beatenbergu vysoko nad jezerem Thun s výhledem na impozantní hory Eiger, Mönch a Jungfrau. Dani and Linda were absolutely fantastic hosts! They truly made my experience so memorable. The breakfast was great and the views were even greater! This kind of hospitality is so rare nowadays, I highly recommend this accommodation!

The chalet is extremely neat and tidy, and such an amazing view of the valley. Me and my family had plenty of space and really enjoyed the facilities. The place is in a great location and quiet and peaceful - wish we can stay more!
