Our plans were flexible and we decided to stay again in Manuel Antonio and this is when we found out about Mountain Top Hotel, which has THE BEST price-benefit ratio The beds are suuuuuuper comfortable, the views are breathtaking, the fact that you have a tour included is mind-blowing and they also have a really good breakfast! We did our tour with Jario, who was super nice, could speak very good Portuguese and who thought us A LOT about both fauna and flora of the area. We were able to spot quite a lot of wildlife (including the black and green poisonous frog!), which was the cherry on the top.

The room was spacious, beautifully designed and super clean. We really liked the restaurant, both the food and the staff - Helmer and Mario were super nice! We booked the hotel last minute because our first choice turned out to be terrible. We didn't regret it, loved the place!

If you are looking for paradise, this is the place. You need to stay here! The view is breathtaking and pictures don't do justice to this place. The food was the best we had in costa rica. Yann and Kalu are really amazing and make you feel so confortable. There is nothing to improve as it is already perfect. I will recommend this place to anyone coming to costa rica.

Ana was very accommodating, and she even went out of her way to help us make reservations for ziplining. The breakfast was delicious, and the view/sunset from the room was outstanding. I also really loved her sheets/bed - very comfortable. Close to Monteverde National Park and other restaurants in town.

We have stayed here twice now. Great location just off the main road. There is a nice pool surrounded by greenery and birds. The property has parking close to the little casitas. There’s a restaurant and small market on the property. The casita has everything you need. AC, hot shower and comfy beds. Management is always there to answer questions or make a dinner reservation for you.

Such a dreamy place, I really liked this hotel. After a day here I already felt relaxed and by day 2 I was fully immersed in the yoga-pool-beach-smoothie life. The hotel sits higher on a hill so they have this amazing view of the ocean above the canopy. The pool and cafe veranda is situated to face the sunset over the ocean. Spent a whole day here one day. Gorgeous garden jungle all around you. Yoga takes place multiple times a day on an open-air platform that faces the sunset as well. This was an absolute dream. Really excellent teachers, beginner friendly but moves at a pace that intermediate-level yogis would enjoy. The sound bath yin yoga while the sun was setting was really a memorable experience. Accommodations: holy cow this felt luxurious. I stayed in a cabina with my own personal pool! A bi-level apartment with a kitchen, two balconies nestled in the trees, a swing daybed, two bathrooms, huge bedroom, and AC! Or the option to keep all the windows open for a refreshing cross-breeze. I cooked in the kitchen and had everything I needed, including coffee for the morning. But also had a couple meals at the cafe and must say, the food was delicious. Healthy, tasty, and bountiful. LOVED the staff here. Everyone was super friendly and relaxed, like they enjoyed their jobs. Which hell, I would too if this were it.

Located 5 minutes' drive from Santa Elena town centre, and 4.9 miles from Monteverde, Costa Rica. What an amazing place! I spent a lot of time on the grounds, as I was recovering from a cold when I first arrived and needed to rest and recover, and this was the most perfect place to do that. I loved the little walking trail, and there were always cute birds to see from the main lodge area. We had a lot of wind and rain when I was there, which was very fun and added to the cozy cabin-like experience. The breakfast was fresh and delicious, and I loved the high-ceilinged shower with nice toiletries. As a solo traveler who did not plan many activities in advance, the front desk staff were super helpful and patient with all my questions. They booked so many tours for me (ziplining, night tour, and shuttle to Santa Elena) that all picked me up straight from the hotel. Eva also told me about the Monteverde En Casa app so that I could get food delivery! There are some restaurants close by, but that was a lifesaver on those cold and rainy nights when I just didn't want to leave my cozy room.
