Nestled in the heart of La Rochelle and set in an 18th-century building, Maison des Ambassadeurs is just a 5-minute walk from the Old Harbour and offers a 24-hour front desk as well as a concierge... Raphael greeted us by attending to our car. He later gave us many tips and places to see and to eat. He was so very nice. Tiffany treated us to an upgrade which was so very kind of her. We were greeted with her friendly smile and warm welcoming followed with a glass of champagne. Such a pleasant entrance to our stay! The room was absolutely gorgeous. An entire area dedicated to coffee, hot chocolate, and a fridge with drinks, etc. The main room had a table, sofa, chairs, end table - all was comfortable and spacious. The bedroom was large! A king bed (super comfortable), end tables, a huge closet with robes and slippers. The bathroom off the room was also large! Nice lighting, mirrors, sink and wonderful shower.

Great & very quiet accommodation in the countryside, nice authentic house, the host was very kind. Great breakfast was served in the host's kitchen.

This was a very pleasant visit, excellent facilities and a warm welcome from the hosts, who offered advice about were to eat that evening and rang to make a booking for us. Super swimming pool and places to relax and soak up the sun. Excellent breakfast the following morning. We enjoyed our visit and would return. Thank you.

I liked the welcoming from the host, it was great to know a bit more about history of the town, native fauna and flora, and hear about their love for gardening. The hosts also prepared us a breakfast to go as we had to leave early. We find it thoughtful.

The property was first class in every way - room is amazing, food exceptional and service hit exactly the right note. The owner does not speak English but with effort from both sides we communicated. You can also use a translator:-). We enjoyed our first visit very much!
