The highlights were definitely the own sauna in the bathroom and the hot tub in a separate little shed across the garden. We had gone to Loch Lomond to hike and these installations were so relaxing for our aching bones. The apartment itself was lovely and cosy and our warm-hearted host Eddie kept enquiring whether we needed anything. A plus were the lovely view and Eddie’s sheep and his two cute dogs. Absolutely recommended!

The shower and bath were excellent, the place had a beautiful aesthetic and was decorated very well, and the staff were very friendly. Most hotels these days are too modern looking and lack character but this guest house is absolutely stunning and I'm happy that it's original elegant appearance was kept intact.

The Westerwood is situated at the foot of the Campsie Hills, midway between Glasgow and Edinburgh. It offers free WiFi throughout the hotel. Room was fantastic clean, modern everything we needed. Can’t wait to come back.

Located on the shores of Loch Lomond within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, Cameron House is a 20-minute drive from Glasgow Airport. The location is unbeatable and the hotel has incredible facilities - although we didn't use these, we were especially surprised at the leisure space (3 pools including a water slide) and the in-house cinema! Ideal for a stay with kids, which was not our case. We had a spacious and confortable room, with a lake view. The staff was courteous and friendly. The breakfast was amazing, by far the best of our entire trip - from salads to cheese, from cereals to natural fruit juices, from the bread selection to the hot food options available, everything we tried was delicious. We also had dinner at the Cameron Grill and the evening food was wonderful, too.
