Beautiful location, room was out of this world. Compact but exceptionally finished. Incredible view, outdoor shower was super cool. Would have loved a hot tub, that would just make the place next level. Couldn’t find the Wi-Fi password but they did let us check in early so it wasn’t quite ready, but in all honesty wish we had stayed longer and had a proper off grid few days. Will 100% be back

The perennial borders were full of interesting plants, trees and flowers. The house was built on an ancient monastery site and was peaceful and quiet. Best nights sleep of our trip.

Also enjoy a meal or maybe a guiness or Irish whisky in the spacious forecourt taking in the sun in the afternoon with distant views beyond the Barrow River A very enjoyable breakfast in separate area inside. A short walk into town by the lower main road or up the slope at the end of hotel driveway and in to town past a small supermarket nice corner shop and along past the three bullet gate, town wall (road) and tower ruin, nice little pub opposite the park and on to the historic St Mays church and Abbey ruins and meander down into town and the wharf area.(most shops closed on Sunday)
