The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.

This place was out best stay in Japan, the staff is so nice, it is clean and comfy. The dinner is a bit pricy but with the experience. The breakfast was awesome. The toiled in the room is very convenient. The private baths are super nice and each guest gets 40min in there.

Shogetsutei se nachází v lese u Mount Kuruhi, 5 minut od vlakového nádraží Kinosaki-Onsen. Nabízí krásné venkovní termální lázně, wellness a bezplatné Wi-Fi připojení ve všech prostorách. Amazing place!! Best onsen in Kinssaki

This place is amazing. Great location right in the middle of the town. The service was super great, they helped us take the luggage when checking in and checking out. The room was hugee. I booked room for 3 and room for 2, somehow the room for 3 was so huge I think it can fit 6. The food was amazing and tasty. 10/10 will recommend it to other. I have stayed in other ryokan in kinosaki before, and this one was cheaper than my previous stay but the experience was wayyyy better
