Property is run by very welcoming and nice family. We were warmly greeted. Very good breakfast, but too much for us, and they changed it according to our wishes. Also they arranged for us jeep safari in Minerya national park (as per their advice due to elephant's path) and we saw a lot of those incredible animals. Special thanks to Ravi - family member who speaks very good English and advised us for many things.

We had a wonderful stay at Sweet Home Tourist Rest, Cooking Classes & Tours. The comfort level was top-notch — everything was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully arranged. We were pleasantly surprised to find that our room came with its own living room, making it feel like a full apartment rather than just a guest room. For a very reasonable price, we had a completely private space to ourselves, which we really appreciated. The location is also ideal — the area is peaceful and quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. A special thanks to Nilukshan, who organized some truly extraordinary tours for us, including the Wilpattu safari, and visits to Anuradhapura and Mihintale. Each one was memorable and perfectly arranged, giving us deep insights into the history and beauty of the region. We also took part in a cooking class conducted by Malsha, which was another highlight of our stay. The class was hands-on, fun, and absolutely delicious — we learned a lot and enjoyed every moment. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area — it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience!

The location of the property is perfect for exploring Habarana, visiting Sigirya, and Dambulla. It is a short distance away from the best tourist spots like Lion Rock and the viewpoint, and the host took us to every place we wanted to go in his tuktuk for a really good price. I highly recommend staying here is you want to see Habarana/Sigirya/Dambulla sights as it is a short distance from the Habarana train station and all of the top attractions. We got picked up from the train station and dropped off at the bus stop, and got lots of help with getting to/from places. The hosts organised an elephant safari for us at a very good rate, and it was an amazing trip that I would highly recommend (we saw over 70 wild elephants and got a private tour!). They also had recommendations of things to do and see in the area, such as the local spice garden, and helped us to get there in the tuktuk. We had breakfast and dinner at the homestay every day and it was absolutely delicious. We ate on the balcony which was a really nice touch. The room was incredibly clean and spacious, and was very comfortable despite being the non A/C room. The hosts were so welcoming and accommodating, and couldn’t have done enough for us. They were so helpful in every way and I can’t recommend staying with them enough.

The owner and his family, the food, the services, the garden and the cleanliness. Even though the property is a bit away from the main road, we were always provided with transportation as and when required at a very good price. They also helped arrange the village tour and Minneria Safari at a competitive price. Always willing to sort out things for you, you just have to mention something and they would be able to arrange it for you.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights in the Pearl of The Jungle private tree house on the property. Sameera and his staff were extremely welcoming and accommodating. We enjoyed 2 dinners and breakfast each morning- the food was absolutely wonderful… would highly recommend for this alone. Our treehouse was quiet and extremely comfortable. The open air bathroom was nice and clean. We would live at the Mutu village if we could!

The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Sigiriya and Minneriya National Park. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a unique and tranquil stay in nature. Can’t wait to return!

The staff were super friendly at all times. We really loved the food, breakfast has a big variety of dishes and it was delicious! The bungalow is amazing too, a comfortable and beautiful place in the middle of nature with a private pool - we enjoyed a lot! I highly recommend!
