Set right on the beach, Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa offers beach front rooms, a year-round children's pool, relaxation pool and outdoor lap pool. Everything. We had an amazing vacation. The best was the stunning view over the beach from our balcony. The room was very big, loved the rainfall shower. The breakfast selection was the biggest we have ever seen and every single dish was delicious. Dinners were over the top too. We very much enjoyed having the surf spot right in front of the hotel.

This might be a long post 🙂 This was hands down one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed at—and we’ve traveled quite a lot. I had planned a 5-day trip to Sri Lanka for my wife’s birthday, with the idea of staying here for 2 nights and then moving to Colombo for the rest. But we ended up staying here for 4 nights straight, simply because it was that blissful. I can’t point to just one reason—we loved everything. Here are a few highlights: 1. The Location Perched on the highest point in Mirissa, this place offers the best view in town. You don’t need to go anywhere else for the sunset—just grab a drink, head up to their terrace, and enjoy. Plus, it’s only a 5-minute walk to Mirissa Beach. 2. The Food Unlike other hotels, there are no standard buffets here. Instead, a thoughtfully curated menu of Sri Lankan and European dishes. The food was absolutely outstanding—simple, fresh, and delicious. I’m a vegetarian, while my wife eats chicken, and both of us loved every meal. 3. The Rooms & Facilities We stayed in a double room—spacious, spotless, and perfect. The property has two swimming pools, one at the top with breathtaking views. What stood out was how well-maintained they were, with little to no chlorine, so no itchy eyes—such a thoughtful detail. 4. The Hospitality One word: Finest. From the receptionist to the GM to the owner, every single person radiated warmth and positivity. When I had an issue with my Forex card, they went out of their way to help. They surprised my wife with a birthday cake and even gifted us souvenirs. Honestly, they made us feel like family. “It felt like home away from home.” We’re already planning to return, this time with more family, just to experience it all over again.

Fantastic location opposite River and waterfall in the middle of nature. Super friendly staff, great accommodation and food. Jeep ride into the rainforest set the scene.

Outstanding location in the middle of the jungle. Surrounded by hight trees and founa. Delicious fresh food was available every day.

Stayed at this family-run guesthouse/hotel for one month. Zero issues. The room (with balcony overlooking a backyard) was spacious, clean and quiet. King size bed was comfortable and protected by a mosquito net. Really neat! Ample sized bathroom with hot/cold water. The fridge is in the common area downstairs. Room cleaning on demand. There's also a restaurant on premises that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The owners and staff are super friendly and accomodating. Can arrange a reasonably priced taxi wherever you might need to go. Any other questions and concerns are eagerly answered and helped with pronto. Very laid-back atmosphere overall. Right outside of the hotel on the main road there are two fruit stands, a masage salon and a couple of good mom&pop grocery stores. Easy access (3-5 min) to the ocean and Coconut Tree Hill. Mirissa Beach is a 13 minute walk. Evening/night time the area is pretty quiet as all nightlife happens ~2 km down the main road. Definitely worth the money!

We loved this place only stayed a night should have been a week. Gaby is a great host and her hotel is exceptional. The grounds and pool are awesome The rooms big and comfortable and clean with mini bar available for an afternoon beer on the balcony The breakfast by the pool was a real treat It is a short walk to a great beach with a little cafe that serves great food. Book this place you won’t be disappointed

Serene Villa Hiriketiya se nachází v destinaci Hiriketiya a nabízí venkovní bazén, fitness centrum, zahradu, terasu a výhled do zahrady. Very nice and quiet place and only 2 min down to the beach! Nice little gym, nice little pool and also the Yoga place is beautiful! All the staff is very helpful and friendly and you can take free surf boards! I enjoyed it very much there!

We stayed (my husband and I) at Bandara's place for about 10days and it was really nice! Bandara and his family are adorable and always here to help! They can also prepare you a delicious meal. It's really close to the Jungle beach, one of the most pretty beach in Weligama where you can also surf if you have a good level. There is lots of nice and cheap restaurants around the place and the famous Tiki Bar with big parties on Friday night. We would 100% recommend Bandara's place, the house is clean and pretty, with a cute little jungle garden. It is a peaceful place. Will definitely come again.
