I checked more than 20 options in Ella before choosing New Blue Home, and honestly, I think it was my best choice so far out of all the places we stayed in Sri Lanka. The location is perfect — close to the town center where all the dining places are, but still in a quiet neighborhood. It’s also just a short walk to the Nine Arch Bridge, which was super convenient. The biggest highlight for us was Shirley. He was extremely nice and helpful, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. He helped with anything we needed, gave us great advice about places to visit and the best times to go, and even arranged transport so we could see several spots in one day and make the most of our time. Our room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and every morning Shirley made us a tasty breakfast, served on the terrace with a lovely mountain view. I would highly recommend this place for your choice. If we ever come back to Ella, we’ll definitely stay here again.

The Cozy Forest is a beautiful relaxing solution if you want to spend some days in Ella. The rooms are big, comfortable and very clean. The host was very kind, helped us on any request we had and explained what to do in the days we were there. The position is a little outside of Ella but in a few minute in tuk tuk is possible to easily reach the city center. To be out of the city is a huge advantage because is quiet.

The room is very nice and the beds and blankets were very comfortable. A short walk from the main street, and nice and quiet at night. There is a comfortable outdoor sitting with a beautiful view, and the tea was delicious. The host was kind and accommodating. I would highly recommend this homestay, and would like to come back.
