We booked the entire property, it was VERY close to the night market (just 1min). 2 bicycles are provided to ride by the beach. Some rooms had a lovely seaview. We loved the dining area, it was spacious & fully equipped + comes with a automatic mahjong table!

Offering uninterrupted views of the surrounding greenery, Silks Place Taroko Hotel is located within the Taroko National Park in Hualien County. Really pleasant stay! Perfect location, clean environment, great atmosphere. The hotel does really deliver a feeling of calmness when walking through its halls, the food is excellent, pools are awesome and they have a small very sweet shop where they sell mostly handmade things from leather or stone.

The 5-star Promisedland Resort offers luxurious accommodation with handcrafted bedding, a private balcony, and free Wi-Fi. Free shuttle from & to Hualien Station(advance reservation necessary). Hotel is very wide (lobby to guestrooms, free shuttle available) and with variety of facillities (some cost extra charge), personally times would be a little bit tight for only one night stay even if before check-in & after check-out facilities are still available for use. Rooms are all with balcony (garden & river view), very wide, with everything more than enough. Poolside is fantastic in both day & night time, lifeguards are there who are all polite and friendly. Still, there are pools with warm water (around 40 degrees), not any problems in winter season. Canal's cruising boat takes guests to see through the hotel (go around), boatmans (some are female) would like to give guests a guide patiently through the whole cruise. And also, around 22:00, they run the final boat (not allowed on board) with music speaker, saying good night to everybody. Restaurant is small a bit considering they have such huge amount of guestrooms, it results in that dinner time being seperated into two parts...might be a little bit shameful as they offered many kinds of cuisines, hopefully longer time for dinner would be suggested. But even if we did it over time, staff in the restaurant were all nice and did not push us in a hurry at all. Breakfast time until 12:00 which is quite an excellent service as guests are able to spend the leisure time until around 11:00 (final check-out time), then go for breakfast after check-out. We planned to do this originally but could hardly hire a shuttle to lobby for doing check-out first (around 11:00 is a rush hour for check-out, cars are not enough at all) . However they let us to keep our luggages and room key, go enjoy our late morning time first, back at around 12:15, then they offered a shuttle, gave us a ride to lobby for check-out. Well they do have flexibilities no matter how their policy defines, unfoegettable customer services.

This is a great hotel, better than most Taiwanese hotels. The hot spring is top-notch. The room is quiet. Staff are well-trained and speak good English. We really enjoy our stay.
