Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. This lodge is absolutely amazing from the warm and comfortable rooms to the delicious food and the awesome staff who ensure your every need is met. I loved the views and everything about this stunning lodge. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

This was our first safari, we are a family of 4 with two kids aged 2 and 5. The game lodge is extremely family friendly and amazing for kids. They thought of everything from the colouring pen to the couch next to the restaurant with the TV to allow the parents to have a peaceful dinner. The pool is heated and wonderful. The staff is great, you have a dedicated waiter fine you and a dedicated ranger, it feels like a butler service. The most amazing part of course is the game reserve, it's quite big, and during our two night stay and 4 safaris we got to see all the animals. Cherry on the cake was to encounter the cheetah who just hunted his meal for the night. The elephants for some particular reason like a specific space in the reserve, which happens to be not far from the restaurant, so you end up having breakfast every morning with the view in the 2 magnificent elephants. Our ranger, Janel, was amazing, extremely knowledgeable, super friendly and tried her best to make every safari unforgettable. Overall, 1 night is not enough, 2 nights is the minimum to enjoy the stay properly, otherwise if you want a more relaxed time you can go up to 3 nights and do a road trip on the garden route and visit the wonderful beaches around. Nestled at the eastern head of Knysna, this luxurious, pet-friendly hotel boasts a championship golf course, a restaurant and a spa. Free WiFi is provided. This was the best hotel in our garden route tour. Every detail has been looked after. The room had an amazing view, a wooden fire hot tub, fireplace, comfy bed, the people were very attentive and the pool and sauna were a very big plus. Highly recommended!

The property is in a beautiful location, isolated but not too hard to get to from the main road. Beautiful sea views in a tranquil area. I loved my stay here. There are trails to walk on the forest near the property and curious monkeys would show up in the morning to look at our chalet. Food in the restaurant was really good and I’ve also used the spa, which was amazing after a long flight. Staff were fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Wish I had time to stay longer and hope to come back one day. Book without thinking twice.

Gondwana Game Reserve, where Big Five game roams free through the Cape fynbos, is located 25 km from Mosselbay. We had a fabulous time in Gondwana Game reserve. Staff were friendly & welcoming, our game driver Toby was very knowledgeable, facilities & food were great too. We really enjoyed the whole experience.

Trogon House offers treetop accommodation in the Tsitsikamma Forest, 15 minutes’ drive from the beaches of Plattenberg Bay. Oh, what a beautiful facility! This place was so unique; a real find in the middle of a forest! It was like staying in someone’s luxurious treehouse home. The staff was lovely. The rooms were spacious and elegantly appointed; the food was delicious. Must be seen to be believed. What a treasure!

Situated between the Outeniqua Mountains and the beaches of the Indian Ocean, in Mossel Bay, Botlierskop Private Game offers elegant accommodation. We could watch the giraffes and the rhinos from our lodge. The location is excellent and the mountain view is beautiful. The restaurant is excellent (dinner and breakfast). The staff was very friendl and helpful.
