The breakfast buffet was a highlight, offering a diverse selection of delicious options to suit every palate. Hotel Egerkingen, idealer Zwischenstopp is situated in a location with gardens and is only 2 minutes away from Switzerland's most central transport hub, the A1/A2 motorway junction. This Hotel was much bigger than what we expected. It's a big facility and there is parking right outside the room even though you live on the second floor (there is two floors). Be aware if you live on the second floor that there is no elevator only stairs. The reception was very friendly and helpful. On our visit it was the October fest and some part of the facility held a party during the evening which we had no idea about. There was loud music coming from it untill the evening, since we where driving the whole day we wanted to go to bed quite early around 10 pm. It was unfortunate that there where no earplugs to buy in the hotel or nearby. But we still enjoyed our visit.

Hotel Amaris is located in Olten, in the vicinity of the train station, near the picturesque old quarter city. The hotel offers sophisticated rooms and suites, as well as seminar and meeting rooms. It’s spacious, clean, comfortable and so close to the train station. It’s amazing that even if nezt to the train station, once you close the windows there is no noise 🤩🤩🤩 olten is also like a fairy tale place. We accidentally reach this place and it’s a gem!

The Hotel Ambassador is a beautiful individual hotel and is ideally located on a quiet district street between the train station and the traffic-free old town. The hotel is perfect. It’s charming, clean and in a fabulous location between the Solothurn train station and the bridge into the Old Town. We booked two rooms for New Year’s Eve (a single for my teenaged niece) and it was the best value for money. The staff are super friendly and helpful (they made some modifications to our reservations and Daniela was super sweet at checkin and when we got cappuccinos, hot chocolate and croissants after breakfast had officially closed. They have a fabulous coffee machine available to guests next to the gorgeous area to drink and relax. Decor is very pretty! The beds are comfortable, linens are soft, and the rooms are very quiet. Super clean with great hot water and water pressure in the showers. Rooms accessible by elevator, so I will be bringing my older mom here, too. Now my favorite hotel in Solothurn (and my husband is from Solothurn and we’ve stayed in many hotels here). There is also an apartment where you can book individual rooms with shared kitchen and bathroom at great prices on this site. Highly recommended and can’t wait to return.
