Hidden Garden is a cute little paradise. The room was big and cosy and the very clean pool was a big plus. We enjoyed everything including the breakfast in the morning. The location was great 50m to the beach with lots of restaurants and bars, but still quiet and calm.

Spacious room, nice and friendly staff, very clean. It all looked very new. The staff also helped us to organize a safari to the Yala park at a good price.

Our stay at lavender home was fantastic, it is homely, comfortable and the hospitality was out of this world. The rooms are clean and the AC is cold so after a humid day it was much needed. We had our 2 year old with us and the hosts were so friendly and gracious with him that he felt right at home in their arms! The seating area overlooking the rice paddy was ideallic and we spent many hours relaxing on the balcony. We got given local fruit and king coconuts to try. We had dinner at the property each night and the fresh Sri Lankan curries were fantastic! They also arranged a safari to Yala national park, it was well organised and included a packed breakfast and lunch. We definitely recommend staying at lavender home if you are planning on visiting Tissa.

Exclusive safari feeling. The hotel I surrounded by banana plantations and rice paddies. Very friendly staff and the owner tried his utmost to arrange best possible safari.

We were not even planning on staying in Yala but made a stop here. Best decision. The rooms were nicely air-conditioned, so comfortable and clean. The hosts are incredibly friendly and omg, the home-made food was the best we had in Sri Lanka. We actually felt at home. I would recommend staying here for sure. We got really lucky here.

The best time we had in Sri Lanka! The room was well equipped and very clean. The location was good- in a quiet area, close to the beach and to the main road that leads to the city centre, also there is a place to park a vehicle. The best part was the hospitality and the kindness from the hosts. Nadin and Asha are just wonderful! They prepared delicious food for us, gave us so many useful tips about our trip and even made us a Christmas surprise!!! Just amazing!
