This is a very amazing experience! The house is very large, the facilities are also great, and the courtyard is beautiful. We met the hosts, who were very friendly and enthusiastic.They even made dumplings for us to celebrate Chinese New Year. This makes us feel very warm. Great location within beautiful grounds. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment. Excellent breakfast complete with homemade muesli and jam! Close to places we wanted to explore. Murray and Jan were extremely attentive and helpful in every way - we felt we were staying with friends.

Kingsgate Hotel Paihia offers a memorable waterfront location, just 100 metres from Paihia wharf. The hotel offers views across the Bays brilliant blue sea and out to Russell. Location / view was a highlight!

Ala Moana Motel se nachází na nábřeží v centru města Paihia. Wi-Fi je dostupné zdarma. Všechny pokoje mají satelitní TV s 50 programy a terasu. We got a very warm welcome from John the owner. He also gave us a lot of information about the area and many of the local sights to see. He showed us to our room, which turned out to be a spacious, clean and well equipped 1 bedroom unit. We were pleasantly surprised. He and his staff were friendly and accommodating at all times. The room was very comfortable and there were a large number of TV channels, which was good, as there was a day of heavy rain, which precluded any outdoor activities. Restaurants, shopping, the wharf and most activities were a 3 to 5 minute walk away. The beach was just across the road from the motel. Paihia is a lovely town and the motel was beyond our expectations.

The space, had everything we needed it was perfect. What was 1 night turned into 3 (storm set in), we relaxed the entire time, the space was comfortable and warm. We loved the 50+ sky channels. Great get away for people who rarely watch movies. We booked the suite with two decks, that was a bonus. Eileen made you feel at home. Lastly, great location, 2 minute walk to town.
