The best hotel we've ever stayed at! It's not a normal room, but a large, completely open hut beautifully decorated and with a small private pool overlooking the rice fields. At night, you can close the curtains around the hut, although some tiny frogs still manage to sneak in. However, the bed is protected by a large mosquito net. We didn't encounter any other invasive animals, neither mosquitoes. We had dinner at the hotel's restaurant, which was definitely one of the best Balinese restaurants we've tried. Breakfast is also plentiful and delicious, served directly in the room. The staff is extremely kind and very efficient. We had a private driver, so we had no trouble reaching the place. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing! The views are second to none. The villa has lots of rooms and the pool is massive and gets sun all day! Excellent place to unwind and relax. The staff here were excellent and even did our laundry for us which was much appreciated. Room service is available from their sister site and it's value for money too! There are lots of great restaurants about a 10 minute walk away and we also did the silver jewellery workshop which I'd recommend.

This place is amazing!!! You will not regret staying here. Gede and his wife are amazing hosts and incredibly kind and attentive. I stayed here as a single woman and was quite nervous about being alone all night in the rice fields but this place transported me to a world of relaxation! Gede offered, without me requesting, to pick me up from the padangbai ferry, he’s so thoughtful and he even dropped me off in ubud afterwards. He got me a motorbike to get around sidemen and even met me within 10 mins when, like a tourist, I ran out of gas. The place is impeccably clean for being outside, just keep the mosquito net around the bed to keep all the rice field bugs off it, they are harmless though and I never encountered a mosquito just a million dragon flies at dusk flying over the fields! What an amazing site! The sunset view in the morning is magical, the outdoor shower and the view from the bathroom are amazing. One night I spent relaxing in the hammock after a long day of touring and Gede and his wife brought me dinner and a duvet to snuggle with in the hammock. I felt incredibly cared for and like a princess. Who needs a rice fields trek when you can stay at sandag!

Griya Valud is such a magical place. Very exclusive (4 private villas) in Sidemen Valley, the hosts are amazing. Great food is cooked there. The villas are perfect, with a great bathroom, and an infinity pool perfect to relax after a day exploring what Sidemen has to offer. Highly recommended!

I've had a nice, quiet relaxing time thanks to its private villa. The contrast of Mt. Agung and the garden that you can see from the kitchen were astonishing. The beds and bathroom were also hygienic and clean. There were also a place you can buy daily necessities near by. The internet connection were solid it helped with my work. And addition to that there was a washing machine as well. I would like for another long stay.
