We stayed four nights, with day trips to the Gangchon Rail Park, Alpaca World, and Nami Island. This place was recommended by friends and I'm so glad we decided to stay here. John and his wife were really kind and took very good care of us. Rooms were clean and neat. Hot water flowed freely during bathtime and we drank cold water straight from the tap. For the most part, we felt like we were visiting grandparents who kept feeding us. We skipped the Vivaldi Ski Park only to discover Pallbong-san was closed for the winter, but John got us four gimbap, brought us to a nearby service road up a small peak, and sent us on a short hike (that incline!). We still got to muck around in the mud and leaves on the way up. Our sons (9 and 7) enjoyed the outdoors, helping John build campfires, playing with his wife's dog, and generally just running around the property screeching like banshees and dipping into John's store of firewood and kindling as he looked on indulgently (city kids don't get campfires much). The charcoal barbecue most reviews mention was a highlight, as was (for me anyway!!) cooking kimchi ramyeon with actual kimchi in a pot on a stove in a proper pension in the Korean countryside. I saved the receipt from our trip to the mart to buy ingredients too, it's going into my journal. Thank you John and Mrs Lee for your hospitality, we will not forget it. p/s For runners, there's a short out and back - just follow the pavement that starts at one of the roads in front of the property (the road after the tunnel, you'll see when you get there) to the end. A round trip took us about 40+ minutes? We called it 6plus-7km. A pleasant enough route.

Howard was the perfect host. meticulous and always there to provide advice or assistances when needed. very generous host and provide many valuable information and also as much resources as we need. while the nights can be cold, the heating of the pension is good such that even the toilet is heated, this is a big plus.

Casa Seorak Bed and Breakfast nabízí ubytování s kuchyňským koutem. Pláž Mulchi Beach se nachází 2,1 km daleko a Přístav Daepo 1,3 km. Great host. Knew English very well and showed us everything to do in Sokcho plus some good restaurants to go to. Made us breakfast every morning too.

Great apartment with lots of space to sleep for 5 people. Well equipped kitchen, washing machine. They arranged a parking place in front of the entrance on the street. We could store our luggage earlier than check- in Time. Really convinient.

오대산 달빛펜션 Odaesan Moonlight Pension se nachází ve čtvrti Jinbu-myeon v destinaci Pchjongčchang a nabízí terasu. Olympijské náměstí Pchjongčchang je 18 km odtud a Woljeongsa Museum 800 metrů. This is the perfect location for doing a hike on 오대산 mountain. The bus goes from this place to the temple where the hike begins from. There is also a bus to Jinbu the closet town with a supermarket but buses do not run at night. It was clean and had a common kitchen for cooking. Although there are no chairs and table in the room they had a front veranda area where you can sit with power as well.

It was extremely clean! The owners are a family and very accommodating. the location was fantastic. The toiletries were brand name, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, face wash, hand soap, face products and others. The kitchen was fully stocked. Anything extra that we needed, the owners supplied. The property offered lots of beach equipment to rent for a cheap price. They also had various grills, which the owners set up and cleaned up. Great for families, couples, solo and group travelers.

Naksanstay se nachází v destinaci Jangjang a nabízí terasu. Nedaleko odtud se nachází Pláž Naksan Beach a Chrám Naksansa. Na místě je k dispozici soukromé parkoviště. As soon as I walked into the room I felt so comfortable and at home. The room looked adorable, it was spotlessly clean, and had everything you would need for a longer stay. Sadly I was only there one night, but I would return without hesitation if I’m ever in the area again. The location is perfect, so close to the beach, temple, a bus stop and convenience stores.
