It feels like you are in someones home. The rooms are big and spacious, incl the bathrooms. The hotel has a lovely garden in the backyard and I believe most rooms have an outdoor patio. The food/restaurant is very good too. We had almost all our meals at the hotel and the menu has many different variations such as local cuisine, arab, chinese, western etc. The staff is all very kind, gentle and goes the extra mile for you and your needs. The hotel is located approx 10min walking distance from the city center. You wont regret staying here at all!

It's beautifully decorated, spacious but cosy, and truly a special place to stay. But what really made our visit unforgettable was how the owner and staff supported us during unexpected extreme weather conditions during Cyclone Ditwah that affected the whole island. Because of floodings and landslides, all roads leaving Nuwara Eliya were closed and we couldn’t leave town for several days. The situation felt surreal and completely unforeseen, but the staff took incredible care of us. They checked on us constantly, kept us updated, cooked us amazing food and did everything possible to make sure we felt safe and comfortable. Their kindness and dedication went beyond what you normally expect from a hotel. The rooms in the main house were also great, and it was one of the only places in town with a working internet connection, which allowed us to stay in touch with home and follow the situation. A special mention goes to the owner, who was extremely supportive. When the roads partially reopened, he personally checked the roads early in the morning and went into town to find locals willing to drive us down safely. To give us extra reassurance, he even drove ahead of our taxi himself. We can fully recommend The Edgware to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. Not only is it a beautiful place to stay, but the people make you feel genuinely cared for, even in the most challenging circumstances. Thank you again!

Very lovely place, somewhat outside center of Nuwara, but at the endpoint of the Pekoetrail. We did the last etappe of the trail and came back with a bus. Very nice views and relaxed walk. The owner is very friendly and can give you all the info you want. Breakfast was excellent. It's continental with Strawberry juice, cake or pancakes. They even did some home cooking for us the first evening (Khottu). Again, very tasteful. I recommend this place for its charme. You look out your window and see the plains! The next day, he brought us to the trainstation.

Rooms very spacious. Most importantly the food quality is great. Excellent and well trained staff. They ensured that for us being vegetarian, we have different menu for breakfast on the 4 days we spent in this hotel. In fact Chef also tried a dish we recommended, which was cooked very well and to our liking.

My recent stay at Mount View Bungalow in Hatton was an absolutely delightful experience that truly exceeded expectations. Opting for the three-bedroom apartment proved to be an excellent choice, offering a haven of comfort, cleanliness, and breathtaking scenery. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the sheer spaciousness of the apartment and the evident care taken in its maintenance. The living area was thoughtfully furnished, creating a welcoming atmosphere with comfortable sofas, a TV, and convenient WiFi access that made us feel right at home. Each of the three bedrooms was remarkably spacious, providing ample room to relax. The provision of fresh, clean towels, crisp bedsheets, and cozy blankets ensured a restful night's sleep. The bathrooms were equally impressive, being immaculate and very well-maintained, reflecting a high standard of hygiene. For those who prefer to self-cater, the fully equipped kitchen was a fantastic amenity. It included a gas stove, refrigerator, rice cooker, heater jug, and a complete set of necessary utensils, making meal preparation a breeze. However, the true gems of Mount View Bungalow were the balconies attached to every room and the main hall. Stepping onto them revealed truly breathtaking panoramic views of the majestic mountains and lush tea plantations surrounding Hatton. These serene vistas provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and soaking in the natural beauty of Sri Lanka. Practicality was also well-considered, with ample and secure parking available within the gated premises, offering peace of mind for guests with vehicles. Furthermore, the location is incredibly convenient, with Hatton town just a pleasant 10-minute walk away, providing easy access to shops and local amenities. The hospitality we received from the host was exceptional.

Everything, right from the property, room, location, surroundings, cleanliness to a very friendly staff. Our stay at Oliphant Boutique Villa by Amaya was nothing short of magical. The photos online simply do not do justice to how stunning the property is in reality—the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful surroundings, the lush gardens, and that charming old-world elegance seamlessly blended with all modern comforts. Despite delays in our check-in due to heavy rains, the staff were patiently waiting for us with warm smiles. From the very first moment, they made sure we felt comfortable and welcomed. Every member of the team was humble, polite, and incredibly respectful. A special shoutout to Laxman, who took care of us throughout our stay. His attentiveness and kindness truly made a difference. We also travelled with our 5-year-old, who is quite picky with food, yet the kitchen staff went out of their way to prepare dishes he would enjoy. This level of personal care was deeply appreciated. The food was exceptional—far beyond our expectations. I strongly recommend opting for half board or full board, because every meal was a delight. We stayed for four days and honestly wished we had booked even more. Oliphant was the standout stay of our entire Sri Lanka trip. The peaceful atmosphere, stunning views, lovely heritage charm, and world-class hospitality make it a place we would return to without a second thought. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya—Oliphant Boutique Villa is an experience you won’t forget!

Luxe Wilderness - Private Villas, Free Breakfast, 2km from City Centre se může pochlubit výhledem na hory a poskytuje ubytování s patiem a kávovarem. This place is even better than the photos. It’s a two story villa with a well equipped kitchen, upstairs bedroom with views forever, and the bath was a very special treat. We felt so at home here, cooked ourselves a meal with vegetables from the stall next door and relaxed on the comfy couch. I wish we had stayed longer to take advantage of the walks that can be accessed directly from the property. The staff a delightful. Highly recommend.

Thuring's Holiday Bungalow se nachází ve čtvrti Lake Gregory v destinaci Nuwara Eliya. Gregory jezero je 1,1 km odtud a Hakgala Botanical Garden 7,4 km. Really nice small stay with a kind host family. Really clean room and great bathroom with plenty of hot water. After a rainy day we enjoyed a warm shower. The host also helped us and organized laundry for us and we could use the blender and fridge of the family. Also great location to take a walk im the tea plantation. Its next by.

We spent two nights at Langdale Boutique Hotel by Amaya and absolutely loved it. The hotel is tucked away in the middle of endless tea fields, and the views are just stunning, it feels like a little world of its own. What made our stay so memorable was the incredible staff. From start to finish, they made us feel so welcome and genuinely cared for, nothing was ever too much trouble. A special thank you to the reception and wait staff, as well as Chef Guiamme, who not only cooked us the most delicious meals but also took the time to share his recipes for Coconut Jam, Dhal, and Onion Sambal. We can’t wait to try them at home and share them with our friends and family. Such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay feel extra personal. We were kindly upgraded for our stay and the room was very comfortable and cozy, and we both slept so well and got the perfect recharge after exploring. We also loved the facilities — the heated pool was perfect after a day of adventuring, the mini golf is a nice touch and the walks around Langdale’s estate were peaceful and beautiful. We also used the laundry service which did a truly excellent job and refreshed our belongings for our onward journey. This was one of the highlights of our trip to Sri Lanka, and we’ll look back on it fondly. If you’re looking for warm hospitality, beautiful surroundings, and truly outstanding service, Langdale is the place to stay.
