One of the places I’ve felt the most comfortable staying in Sri Lanka. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting hiriketiya. Property is a few minutes walk from popular restaurants and a 15 min walk from hiriketiya beach making it quiet and peaceful for you to rest. If ever, you can also relax on the lounge chairs and your private pool. Overall, 10/10 and would stay here again.

The food was outstanding, we enjoyed dinner there every evening because it was so delicious, and one night we were treated to an authentic Sri Lankan dinner that was unforgettable. A very special thank you to Suresh and to Sanuka, who was also incredibly kind, attentive, and dedicated. The whole team goes above and beyond to create a calm, peaceful atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. We tried to think of something we didn’t like, but honestly, there wasn’t anything, it was simply perfect.

Location is the best, right outside the Forest Reserve, next to a river with lots of beautiful birds. The tour is great too!

The staff were extremely helpful and kind, always ready to fulfill our requests. They arranged an unforgettable romantic dinner for us by the ocean. The dinners were delicious, prepared with fresh, local products, and the same goes for breakfast. We also chose to have a massage, and they prepared a beautiful spot facing the ocean for it. The masseuse was excellent – highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and equipped with every comfort. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was magical. I never wanted to leave that place.

We had a wonderful experience staying here while enjoying the poolside, listening to sound of waves and having a perfect candlelight dinner.The chef is very skilled and prepares the most delicious food! The best we had in Sri Lanka. The staff is very helpful, friendly and hands-on. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Located in Mirissa in the Matara District Region, 3.7 km from Whale Watching Mirissa, Ubuntu by Lantern boasts an outdoor pool, barbecue and sun terrace. Outstanding service by all the staff, in particular the young trainee gentleman who looked after us, he was so attentive and accommodating during our stay. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious, the pool area is lovely and the food is exceptional, in particular the traditional breakfast, which was absolutely delicious! Location was also great, although it was 5 mins away from the main Mirissa beach it was a much nicer area!
