The check-in was very nice, they welcomed us with a shot of their homemade liquor and a little sweet treat. Then we went up to our room. Unfortunately there was a problem with this room, but the staff managed it very well and changed our room within the next minutes. We stayed in the "resort" part of this hotel, which comes with a Jacuzzi in every room/on the balcony, very nice! The breakfast was tasty and a variety of choices as well. We also enjoyed their Greek night, a buffet of delicious Greek food and Greek music/live dancing. We will definitely come back to this wonderful place!

It was end of season, so very quiet. Lots of restaurants and bars. Access to beaches also. Regular buses mon-sat from Argassi to Zante. Taxis available too. Argassi is small, so easy enough to walk around. Walk from Ionian Hill hotel into Argassi approx 10 mins.

Lovely little village with beautiful mountain views. It has a greek restaurant that serves the best gyros ever. It is a very good base to discover the island. Not for people who are seeking nightlife and renting a car is quite essential.

Laganas is more for parity people then for family holiday...
Laganas is more for parity people then for family holiday as there are a lot of pubs night clubs and a lot of noise at the night. it is nice if you are young couple and want to have night life and party and less time to spend on the beach. on the other hand, the beach is huge, it's long and nice ,water is clear and maybe is perfect for kids as it is not deep at all (I must go maybe for 500 m to come to deep part of the sea)

Zakynthos is a fantastic island.
Zakynthos is a fantastic island. I stayed in Laganas to party during the night. But I visited the most beautifull beaches and places during the day. Snorkeling is amazing and I could easily spent weeks on the island to explore everything. Just google the tips because there is a lot to see and there a blogs all over to tell you where to go and how to get there.

Great base for the rest of the island. Good safe beaches. Lots of tours on offer. Went everywhere on foot in the village. Cheap buses to capital, reasonable car hire. Only caution we went end-of-season (October) so cannot vouch for high season. Definitely going back there again

It is calmer than Laganas, so definitely a plus.. But generally Zakynthos doesn't have ancient architecture to admire.. So be prepared just for tourist shops and restaurants... Also if you wanna see nice beaches you need to go by boat. 4 days in Zakyntos would be optimal, a week was too much.
